Anyone else dealing with a high red blood cell count...aka polycymethia vera? High being 18.5.

I might have that problem. My hemoglobin counts have all been high in the normal range and my last test went slightly over the normal range. My endo wants to have me see a hematologist to be on the safe side, but also doesn't think that treatment is probably needed at this time. I've gotten no call from the referral, so plan to donate blood in a week. Periodic donations probably take care of this problem.
