getting a doctor to perscribe hcg with trt
I am wanting to know how many of you guys are having problems with Doctors not wanting to prescribing HCG with TRT therapy. I have been on TRT therapy for about three years and i was wanting to start taking HCG but my Endo said that it is only for bodybuilders and their is no benefit with TRT therapy.

I think your doc is incorrect. TRT will shut down your testicles and can cause shrinkage. HCG will help with that. So, if you have testicular atrophy, that should be your evidence that you need hCG. If you have no shrinkage, then you probably don't need it.
This is just my opinion, wait for others to weigh in on this.

I sent my doctor the paper about Dr. Crisler. I hope that he is open minded when he reads it.

I am having problems as well. I think he is open to it just has never prescribed it before. This article is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you very much. I am going in with some great ammunition now.

I'll be using that paper also. Saved that one a few weeks ago. My endo doesn't seem to want to discuss that or AI's. I'll be going in armed with a lot of paperwork for my fall visit. I'll also be laying much smaller balls on his table and asking him if he'd accept his own shrinking up. If he won't help, I'll ask him to refer me to someone who will. I'll put the "balls" in his court, so to speak.

Dear God! Your endo told you it was a cosmetic thing???
You're in HPTA shut down and by introducing exogenous Test have conducted a self induced organ shut down that being your testicles. Read Crisler's paper on HCG ; your testicles are the single largest source for the precursor hormone Pregnenolone and in HTPA shutdown you ain't producing Pregnenolone or Progesterone for that matter anymore...read what that can do to you!

In california (and prob the whole u.s) you can get hcg without a perscription. Its a huge industry for weight loss now (****in joke imo) but in my town alone there is like 5 dr's that wil prescribe it for weight loss

I'm on trt for about 3 months now (100mg of test cyp per week). My Dr. is suggesting hcg now after I told him I wasn't really feeling that great yet. My free test was only 650ish (up from 285).
Am I correct in thinking that the hcg will raise my levels a bit?

Never felt like a women, however, my libido was better a few weeks into the trt but fell off a bit (still have morning wood every day). BTW e2 is at around 18 so I'm thinking more test or hcg would help.

It's all good. I use that handle on some automotive forums and it isn't the first time someone alluded to the cross dressing thing
That said, since my Dr. is talking hcg now, I'm guessing I should take him up on it. The only thing that makes me reluctant is that my e actually went down when I started the trt, which is a good thing.
I don't want to throw a wrench into things by having the hcg messing with my e, however, my boys are already looking to be on the decline size wise. Hcg should fix that.

i would go to a different doc but i get free health care. I already take liquidex for my estrogen..... He did hook me up with a pharmacy that was very inexpensive and he also allowed me to start injecting every week instead of every two weeks. The doc that i had before made me go to his office and get the injections. Now that was a pain.

You said the magic words!
As for me, I personally believe we all need Pregnenolone and Progesterone among other things. Without these men on TRT can feel depressed and experience panic attacks amongst a host of other things...all of which you don't have.
Probably bigger for me is I don't want my balls and sack to look like my 6 year old...I like how my junk looks now and so does my wife

Mention Fertility!
It worked for me.
I am already on T and arimidex . I told him I intended to have kids (mostly true) and that the T was killing my nutts (mostly true).
