Poll- AAS prior to starting TRT

Who has used AAS in thier younger days and now find themselves on TRT or HRT?
Those who did AAS, did you do proper PCT afterwards?
Not sure if it's just me but I have noticed an increase in younger members asking for TRT advice and mentioning that they did cycles when they were younger.

I'm noticing the younger guys coming here lately too. Makes me glad I didn't mess around with cycles in my younger days.

Never touched them before I started TRT. Its funny cause when I was younger, I was a really skinny kid. After getting educated and putting on some muscle (which was all about diet), I always inquired about steroids (as do most younger people getting started in bodybuilding). However, I was WAY too afraid of the consequences (health, legality, etc.) to even consider them seriously. I never would have thought back then that I would be injecting myself every week for the rest of my life. Pretty ironic.

Looking back and knowing the symptoms and what bloodwork proved later on in my life, I always wonder just how long I suffered from hypogonadism.

I hear you! I've always been small and wonder if I had low T growing up.

I'm in similar boat. Never been really small, and have been able to put on good muscle size but I've always ate fairly clean and have pounded the weights... Lifted with guys that ran cycles and tried to educate my self, but after what I've learned since starting hrt research I'm very much glad i never even dabbled with any aas

Did a few cycles in my 20s, always did solid PCTs, but numbers kept coming back low, so I put myself on TRT.

I would never think of injecting anything in my body out of fear! Hear I am at 44 doing it like it is nothing just to feel like normal. I think I could of went on TRT in my mid thirties, but I just thought I was getting old and lazy and that is how life was going to be. How wrong I was.

    Fellas,
    Only 13 votes so far.
Given the results so far, I'm actually surprised the numbers for past use of AAS isn't higher.

Was fat as a young kid and then lost it all at 14. Tried everything to gain weight but always went to chest and love handles. Almost paralyzed with embarrassment.

I am convinced i have been hypogonadic since adolescence, and I also know my estrogen has always been high bc of moobs.

Always thought steroid users were all bowed up, temperamental and the bullies of the school. And now I'm one of those users..though legally...but far from bowed up and hopefully not an a**hole. Sorry for the stereotyping guys. Ignorance on my part. I have a lot of respect for the benefits of HRT, and also the benefits of cycling. I'm a changed man because of TRT and the advice I've gotten from guys here who are either on TRT or cycling.

Maybe in a few years people will be more willing to address the issue of low T. Right now, at least in my area, it's not a topic of positive discussion...

Never took steroids . Lifted weights a lot and was fairly athletic in the sense that I was a great runner but couldn't put on weight no matter what I ate and howni lifted.

Never done a cycle, mostly due to legality, availability and side effect worries. - But read about it for years.
Always small and a hard gainer, I figured out much of my diet in my late 20's though, and put on some quality size in my 30's. Now at age 42, it seems one or the other - lose fat along with hard earned muscle, or keep/gain muscle/strength/endurance/size, but fat happens along with it. I'm in the process now of blood-work, and figuring out where I stand as far as designing myself a cycle. I've never known my T state, so should be interesting.
