Need
Sorry if this is considered double posting, but I want to be as clear as I can about shutdown.
Started trt with 200mgs of test cyp. Doc prescribed EOW. Being a total newbie, not thinking straight cause I just wanted to finally get some relief, and thinking that more is better, I did my 2nd inject of 200mgs only five days later. Eight days after that 2nd inject I had extensive labs done. Both my LH and FSH levels were practically nil. Is it possible (if indeed possible, how likely) that my HPTA was completely shutdown due to those two injects or was there most likely a preexisting condition?
On another note, my estradiol level was out of control as well, with a value of 72. Any ideas, theories, suggestions will be highly appreciated.
I am feeling REALLY REALLY BAD right now......

Re LH and FSH: What was your baseline?
Re e2: Doesn't surprise me. You've got a standard TRT protocol's entire month of test in you in about 5 days.
I guess you could ride it out, but that might leave you feeling like crap.
I guess you could talk to your doc, but that might bring some issues of distrust to the surface. Perhaps tell him that the dosing schedule was unclear, or the pharmacist was vague in the dosing schedule. If he won't prescribe more, perhaps consider dropping the vial (on purpose), bringing in the scraps, and claiming it was an accident?Last edited by funkymonk; 07-07-2011 at 10:08 PM.

Funky,
Thanks for the heads up but I already came clean to the doc about the early 2nd dose.
As far as baseline lh and fsh, the doc prescribed Test Cyp based only upon my presenting symptoms, and a single total to test of 252ng so unfortunately I have no true beginning baseline to go off of that's why I am trying to gather some intelligent theories. After doing some research, it is my opinion that my lh and fsh levels were for shit to begin with..

OP - WHY are you creating so many new posts with the SAME questions??? These have been answered for you in at least two if not three threads you created on the same damn subject! Stick to your original threads and the guys will help you on anything new.
And start to do your own research and educate yourself.
Man...
BTW, any Doc who prescribes Test based ONLY on symptoms should have their license taking away...just my $0.02.

gdlevine:
You have been VERY helpful to me these past few days, and I appreciate ALL of your responses. I apologize if I am not following proper board etiquette, and am posting too much. Maybe it didn't come through properly, but the purpose of this particular post (which I thought and intended to be different from the others), was just to kind of take a poll of veterans like yourself, (b/c my doc ****ed up and didn't measure my LH/FSH prior to treatment), and try to isolate and determine ONLY whether or not I was most likely shutdown PRIOR to treatment, or if the T supplementation alone shut me down.
I thought that since this involved a SPECIFIC, single question, that I could start a new thread. Like I already said, my apologizes if I violated board etiquette.
As far as education, apart from this forum, and just about everything I could find on Google, I read two books on trt. The first was "The Testosterone Syndrome," by Shippen and Fryer, and Testosterone: A Man's Guide, by Vergel.
As I'm sure you are no doubt aware, there are a ton of discrepancies out there in regards to trt.

I could not AGREE MORE with you right now..........
jpk,
You TOTALLY read me wrong. In fact, I really have NO clue what you are talking about. If you think I have anything other than the BEST of intentions and or motives, you are wrong. Maybe you thought you were wrong about me, but I had you pegged from your first snide comment, DICKHEAD!!! If you don't want to be helpful, or if you see my name on a thread, you always reserve the option of NOT READING IT.
Once again gd, I apologize, and THANKS FOR EVERYTHING......
