Morning Wood???
Good morning all, hope everyone is felling well today. 5 weeks into trt and I am starting to notice some positive changes . Fatigue is better. Depression is better. Libido is better (not GREAT, but better). Starting to lose weight finally. The one thing I can't figure out is where the fvck my morning wood is (not that I have had it for probably years)...
I started off with fairly high E2 @ 72. My first 2 weeks I did not have an AI, but thanks to great guys like JP and GD, I got myself set up with Liquidex from Ar-r . So shots 3-5 I have been using the Liquidex. BTW, just had my 5th shot yesterday. Shouldn't I have already lowered my E2 enough to the point where I'm getting the morning wood? What say you my friends? Will you help me find my MW?
THANKS GUYS!!!!!!

MW is an interesting symptom imo to look for....i dont have a set sleeping pattern so i dont feel i must wake up with this condition...as long as i'm swingin lumber when i step up to the plate i'm happy.... there are times during sleep and/or naps that MW happens....
this is just me i'll bump this for more opinions....maybe someone else can firm this up for you

Morning wood is good! I would think you are getting closer to the sweet spot for TRT...but this is only week 5 right? And you only had your AI for the most recent 3injections...so, you may need a few more weeks to get there. The AI drives down the E2 gradually. I forget your weekly dose of test. and whether you are on HCG or not. How are you dosing the liquidex? I think 1ml per 100mgs. test is the starting guideline??? Given you high E2 reading a few weeks ago, you may be able to go a bit higher on the AI...but know that you can knock yor E2 down too far as well.
Be patient. You are getting closer to where you want to be.

Don't put a lot of credence into MW and test levels, honestly. As long as your equipment works when you need it you're in a good space. If you still need a little help from a PDE5 inhibitor there's nothing wrong with that either.
I get some morning wood now with TRT but not before; albeit it's not like steel but it's there and my libido is the strongest when I wake anyway. Had great shower sex with my wife when we woke yesterday and while I didn't wake with a major hard-on it did just fine when it needed to.
You may want to consider taking a daily 5 mg of Cialis. Not only will this help you in a "big" way this little dose of PDE5 inhibitor also has a lot of other great health benefits. Take one each night before you go to bed and see what it does for you in the morning. (BTW, there are a number of websites that make it easy to order this stuff!)

Thanks for all the support guys. My protocol is 100mg Test Cyp EW and .5mg Liquidex every MWF. Figured I needed a little bit more A-dex than normal since my E level was so high. Should I cut that down to .25mg? Also, when I went to see the doc, she prescribed me a very small dose of Lexapro (10mg), and I take that every morning. Could that be interfering with my MW?
GD, is Cialis safe to take every day long term?
Thanks Guys!!!!

Yes, the Lexapro can have that as a side-effect. I believe that it takes 4-5 weeks for the Lexapro to be at optimum levels in your body. There is probably a good reason why your doctor prescribed the med., so I would stay the course for now. But be on the lookout for sides. If you need a SSRI, there are others in that family of drugs, so you may have to experiment.
They have a Cialis for daily use...so the FDA and maker believe it is safe for long-term use. The dosage is pretty small....5mgs./day right GD? Normal Cialis dosage is like 10 and 20mgs., but not that much daily (I think).

Yes, that's why they make a 2.5 and 5 mg for just this reason; it's a very low dose. The maker states men can actually take 10 mg daily and still be safe. The 20 mg can last an entire weekend with a decent half life.
Remember, it's just an enzyme inhibitor and can be very good for cardiovascular health among other things like higher blood flow to your brain and organs. I take 5 mg each night before bed (for a lot of good health reasons) and it works like a charm AND a big plus is the pump I get at the gym with crazy vascularity!!!
Love the stuff
You can get the generic online and it's not expensive...think along the lines of costs for you supplements.Last edited by steroid.com 1; 08-02-2011 at 11:25 AM.

If you are dreaming about a hot naked babe when you wake up or the spouse is giving you morning head (MH), and you don't have MW, that is an issue. If you wake up, no clue what you were dreaming, spouse isn't giving you MH when you wake up, then don't worry about no MW too much.
With that said, too much AI can drive E2 levels too low. This will impact MW, too. Watch for low E2 symptoms as well as high E2 symptoms.

Lexapro is affecting you most probably. Your doctor may have to augment it with something like Wellbutrin to solve the problem. It worked for me.

GD,
Just got the doc to call in the low dose Cialis for every day use. On my way to pick that up, I'm going to stop off at my local Vitamin Shoppe and get some of that Calcium D-Glucarate as well. Thanks for the tips today. I really appreciate all of your most helpful advice. BTW, just curious, are you an MD, cause you sure seem to know your shit.....

I think you are on to something there as a friend of mine was on lexapro and could never come. He would pound and pound but nothing. So he told his doc that he was able to get erections but could not get off so the doc switched him to Welbutrin and now all is well. he cums and goes as he pleases. Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitors, (SRI-SSRI) do affect your libido.

LOL...no Doc, just a marketing executive. I do a lot of reading, especially Life Extension Foundation. If you go to John Crisler's website you can get a free subscription to their monthly magazine; I read it cover to cover. I've read a number of books as well. In fact, LEF's HQ is just 10 minutes from my house and I am stopping by on my way from the office to pick up a book titled "Your Blood Doesn't Lie". From what I've seen, it's a great read!
Remember to take your 5 mg of Cialis the same time very day; I like evenings before bed on an empty stomach with just a glass of water as I wake with decent wood and can get it up PDQ. It will take about 3 to 7 days for it to build up in your blood stream but you will see and feel the results that I do promise you. If you work out wait till you see how vascular you're going to get. I take a NO stack (EPONOX) as well as L-Carnitine as well as L-Citrulin to enhance vasiodialation (helps with erections as well and a good co-admin to the Cialis).
If your insurance is picking up the tab you can go with the brand name, the generic is a shit load less. I buy it over seas online at a fraction of the cost here.
BTW, if it's a special evening and you want to kick it up a notch don't be afraid to take another 5 mg the same day; it won't hurt you and you will get an extra "pump" if you know what I mean. On weekends I take 5 mg before bed and 5 mg on waking...and yes, it's a blastLast edited by steroid.com 1; 08-02-2011 at 06:05 PM.

If you guys are interested in a clinically proven and natural PDE-5 inhibitor Google "Icariin 60" It's found in Horny Goats Weed but at significantly higher doses. You can go to pubmed.com and see the research that's been done on it. You need a high dosage of this herb and the Icariin 60 has it. You will need to buy it online. Body builders use it for massive pumps and it can and will pump up your joint as well

I went from no mw ever to every day after I lost my weight and got settled into my protocol - but it took about 5 or 6 months at least for everything to be in somewhat of a balance. Are you over weight by a lot?

Yeah, I'm definitely a bit overweight. The fatigue was so overwhelming that I could not go to the gym anymore and my body just went to shit. It's been almost 3 years since I've seen the inside of a gym. Since starting my protocol I have been eating very clean and I started back up with the cardio again. I'm a little bit self-conscious about my appearance so I just hit the treadmill at home as soon as my eyes open in the morning (after chugging 16oz of H2O). Once I lose some of this weight (and it IS starting to happen), I'll get my ass back in the gym and hit the weights again. If anybody has a good workout plan that I could utilize to ease myself back in again, that would be awesome.
Hope everyone is having a great day...........

millions of opinions on this - so mine means squat - but I like to do 4mph, 4 incline and 4 miles - works wonders for me - but you have to stay in your target hr zone - so you may have to work up to it as you get in better condition. There are those who say you don't start burning fat until the 20-30 min mark after you start your cardio - just something to think about and research on your own.
