Too many on TRT?
Maybe its me, but does it seem like everybody and their brother is trying to get on TRT? I mean there are several people I have seen come on here in their low 20's wanting(thinking they need) TRT. Is this just another way to getting on juice legally? What will come of all of this in a few years? Will there be a shortage of test to go around if everybody keeps telling everybody..."Hey go to this doc, he will put you on test" And if there is a shortage what happens to us guys who really need it?
Maybe I am blowing it all out of portion, but it seems like there are at least two people everyday that come on here and say I need to get on TRT. Are the doctors just cashing in on something that everybody wants and lowering there requirements just to make a buck?
Just wondering if anybody else has noticed this? And I am not trying to flame anybody. If you honestly need it, then get on it. But if your just looking for legal juice then I don't think you should get on and take away from somebody who truely needs it.

HRT is a billion dollar business. Medical companies and docs want to cash in on it. And when a person sees how much something is helping a friend, the person wants to get in on it too.
Let's face it, low T symptoms are pretty generic, and half the population has those symptoms. So it's natural that lots of people would want to get on HRT to relieve those symptoms.

Just from looking at the statistics it looks like roughly 40% of the male population over 45 should probably be on TRT.......and that percentage goes up with even older men.
Probably approaches 90% of 70 year olds.
That's a lot of people!
Now the young guys.....I don't know. I'm sure it's a bit of everything going on though. Some who need it (due to genetics or an injury) some who abused steroids and now need it and some who just want it to probably abuse it.

Understand your concern. It seems like the numbers are "exploding" on guys wanting TRT. For most of us, genuine need will be established through bloodwork and proper physical exams. I wonder how this "need" will sit with our respective health insurers, and eventually, heaven forbid, nationalized health care? TRT using test. cyp. isn't overly expensive compared to most anything else. The gel I am on is quite expensive (for somebody....my employer) compared to test. cyp.
Aside from the whole perception that anabolic steroids are bad/evil, I would be more concerned about the costs associated with treating so many guys in a few years. Somebody may put the brakes on those costs.

1) It just seems that way since you're "in the know" now. 99% of the general population has no idea what TRT/HRT is.
2) TRT is far from legal juicing. Even if you're just using your script for a cycle, a standard 100mg/wk dose is only enough for like, one cycle of test only.
3) As TRT becomes more prevalent, more people will start to consider it as a feasible treatment for their hypogonadism. Sort of a snowball effect in terms of popularity.
For the record I'm 21 years old, and TRT has made so many things right in my life that were wrong that I couldn't imagine life without it.
I've never juiced/dabbled in anything hormonal.

I think allot of guys want on it but don't realize its a life long treatment. Some of them would do much better if they would try and sleep for 8 hours.

Interesting opinions guys. It almost reminds me of "Texas Hold Em" a few years back...LOL!!! You knew of a couple of guys who played in casinos, then the next thing you know you have underground games, games every weekend at peoples house, ESPN carrying poker, and every guy out there thinking he was the next Doyle Brunson. LOL!!!!
Maybe I am just more aware of it now that I am on TRT, but it just seems like a lot of people are getting on TRT. I would have never even considered getting my hormones checked when I was younger...and now that I look back, there is no telling how long I had been low T.

Anyone that wants to be on TRT when they don't need it is a moron. It is expensive, a bother and must be done forever. Sure, I had some good gains in the beginning, but that was only because I was coming back from having the Test of a teenage girl.

More & more men are getting on it that's for sure. I predict that the clock is ticking boys. Before you know it, the vultures in the media will be doing derogatory news pieces on how so many men in the U.S. are being prescribed TRT. Some ass-hat will then murder his wife, get on 60 Minutes & blame it all on TRT. Then the weak-suits in Congress will hold hearings on TRT because we certainly can't have homicidal, uber-men walking amongst us who ooze testosterone . The proverbial party will then be over guys. You watch...lol.

I'm with you Bro, I'm 46 and my total was 189 before going on HRT. I don't ever ever want go without. I have actually been considering making my own. But unless I go to school and get a certificate in Pharmacy and a degree in compounding so I know where legit powder comes from you still never know how legit the UGL powders are. But seriously I think TRT/HRT is here to stay those Low-T wellness clinics is such a multi million business they will have lobbyists working on our congressman and senators 24/7

i think to a point yes. Getting older is a fact of life. Yes there are people that need trt. But at 40 you really dont need to feel like an 18 year old. Even though its great but, There are guys at 40 who dont feel normal for 40 and those are the guys who should be on it.

^^^ Agreed. I don't need to feel like an 18 year old. I went seeking TRT after years of thinking it was just part of the HGH eternal youth scam. But, I constantly had muscle cramps, had lost all motivation and had no interest in sex (while married to a woman 10 years younger). I had to do something. I was honestly surprised, and elated when I was feeling great after five weeks. I wouldn't want to go back to the way I was...it was awful.
