    Zinc as an AI

I went in for a TRT consultation last week and brought in BW [from my normal DR who is anti-TRT] from a couple of weeks ago. With that and my symptoms, I got a 300mg pin of test-c. He took more blood for a complete screen. I see him in two weeks to go over my full screen and start a program.

I assume he'll ask if I felt any differences from the shot, etc. His normal protocol is either creme or test-c pin either twice or once per week. Due to the increased DHT, the excessive cost, and the hassle with transdermals, I am going to go with the pins.

Is anyone on TRT taking zinc as an AI? He gave me a book to read, and this was mentioned.

    thanks

You prob will not need AI if you are just on HRT as the point of TRT/ HRT is just to put you body back to normal levels .. If you do feel any sides then i would be seeing a doc asap...
I also would not be going back every two weeks to get a shot if you have to pay for the visits... thats one way to pay for his new boat i guess.. i would be just hitting him up for takeaways.

My doc ( who doesn't charge Oz gov pays for it ) said come back every two weeks ill hit you up.. i said narh don't bother ill do it my self and he didn't even blink just said.. yeah no worries mate.. have any probs hitting ya self call in ...

Taking Zinc is generally ok. Its not going to be as effective as anastrozole but could it help? Maybe.

The take away here is, try the zinc if you want to, but still get your estradiol checked. If it comes back borderline high then try some zinc. If it's very high and you notice side effects of high estradiol then you are probably going to use an aromatase inhibitor.

    Zinc is really cheap too.

    Thanks

Blood was taken last week for a complete screen.
This first two-week appt is to discuss the BW, get a program started and receive a script.
After I get a script, I'll pin myself once/week. I told him it had been 25 yrs since I've done it, he laughed.
He will prescribe an AI if required - I already asked him.

He said estradiol levels of 20-50 are normal. Does that sound correct?

Dont take more than 50mg zinc a day, too much can cause a copper deficiency.

Sounds about right, my chart shows 7.6 - 42.6 range. On cycle mine came out a tab bit high, 295

I use 50 mg of zinc for e2 control. But remember about copper deficiency as jamotech has stated.

Without using any AI I can use up to 120mg per week of test.If I try to use any more than that I have problems..I also inject every 3.5 days as many guys here do as well.I can say the 3.5 method works very well for me as for the zinc not sure but I still do it.Doing the shots 3.5 days and staying under 120mg works for me but everyone is different.

A good multi will take care of the copper issue.

OTC supps are largely ineffective in controlling E2...yes they can have some effect...but it usually minimal.

I like Calcium D Glucarate for controlling and balancing E2...plus it's one of the strongest anti cancer supps you can purchase.

For some guys even a tiny bit of an AI can make a huge difference. My total T was 723 and E2 at 31 on a 0-44 range, with only a low amount of free-T, but 0.1mg of arimidex E3D turns me into a horny teenager again.

Its like a tiny nudge in the right direction, perhaps lowering my E2 to the mid 20's makes a world of difference. This means a little bit more DHT, a little bit less SHBG.

I would not think such a small amount of an AI can do so much, but it sure feels different. I don't think its placebo effect either.

Good read on Calcium d Glucarate and why you may want to add it to your supplement protocol:

Great read gd for sure. How about the 23% drop in estrogen levels in rats!
Even if humans got half of that it would be great.

I also have a family history of colon cancer so just that reason alone i will use it! Thanks again bro
