I would say borderline low T considering your age.

Plenty of docs would look other places first. Most would probably get a second reading. What time was this test done?

Have you been under more stress lately? Changes in what you've been eating (low carb or low fat diet?)?

    How is your sleep?

If I had those numbers I would not jump into TRT yet. You could try a low dose clomid regimen to see if that can help, but your LH and FSH aren't bad.

Honestly it's probably not what you want to hear but I would try making some positive lifestyle AND nutritional changes at the same time.

I understand half of those readings, the ones I do understand shouldnt be making you tired and achy all the time.

Could you provide us with your other stats?

SHGB is high, which is keeping your free test low (1.32%). 2% to 3% would be ideal. Need your E2 (estradiol) as well.

thats your problem, LOL! i agree with everyone, obviously your T is low and thats why you feel the way you do. what you need is a good doctor, read KelKel's sticky in this section to learn how you can find a doctor, and read the rest of the stickies so you can be informed and use that knowledge when you visit your doctor if need be.

    Cool looking bikes!

I would think in Houston you can definitely find a practice to work with you.... such a huge city after all.

In the mean time, add some stress relieving activities and you could try following a healthier living nutritional plan. I know a lot of people on Crisler's board talk about the paleo diet. No doubt in Houston you are tempted with tons of garbage food that tastes great though. It would probably be a fun place to eat if someone was looking to become obese lol.

Kaoz, did you ever find a Houston HRT Doc?

I tried to PM you but it seems like you disabled it.

HEy- I have Kaiser, a HMO; and have been able to get low level HRT; you will need to learn how to best "work the system" to get what you want/need. Start with your primary care physician (PCP) if you don't already have a good working relationship with him, then check the HMO's list of PCPs to see if you can find one who will work with you (believe me that takes some research) and get reassigned- there is no rule that says you have to stay with a PCP you are uncomfortable with. If you already have a good relationship with your PCP, then simply ask for a referral to an endocrinologist for further investigation of your symptoms, and once with that doc, get a more complete blood workup; they have a better idea of what tests to order from the drawn blood. If he agrees to proceed with HRT after reviewing the results, it will still be a while before you get to the level of energy you want (the hard part) they will want to start off low take more tests, and proceed from there. This is somewhat a liability issue since the amount they may prescribe could affect the possibility of prostrate cancer, so they want to be sure, and go slow.
