Any former Athletes regain their bodies using TRT?

In the spirit of the thread Any former fatties transform their bodies after TRT?, I would be interested to know if anyone on TRT is in the process of regaining, or has successfully regained, their bodies for the purpose of re-entering their sport at a non-competitive level. For example, you were a cross-country runner who's now looking to do 10Ks, half marathons or even marathons for personal achievement.

I used to be a tae kwon do champion when i was younger, i stop at 24, then got into boxing and wrestling but got injured at 30. I will be 40 in June and if everything goes well i would love to get into MMA. And lose my fat a$$ and look like something again else then a big fat loser.

Whilst in my 20's, I was very active in the Triathlon lifestyle and bike racing. I was, by no means, a high level racer, but I had achieved some sponsorships. Unfortunately, I was relatively lazy about exercise, from 30-45, just being dad, husband, provider.
I am 45 now, about 3 months into my TRT protocol. For the first time in more than 15 years, I am running 6+ miles on my long runs and I feel great. I am seeing a body transformation that I didn't expect and my recovery times are pretty good too. FWIW, I will be doing at least one 10K race and a triathlon this summer.
Now, if I could only rebound my E2 and get the joint pain under control....
