First want to say I went to a new doctor today. Actually only visited with a nurse who will talk to the doctor. Most likely I will be getting HCG and monitoring on estrogen and ai if needed. Took total and free test levels as well as a thyroid panel including t3 as that has never been checked. Very affordable, 50 dollar visit and blood work is cheaper than what you can get things done at privatemdlabs.
So she thinks that we can get to the root of the problem, and hopefully get me off of hrt for life once they can pin point it. But it sounds like a costly ordeal. It involves changing diet for like 3 months at a time, and evaluating thyroid antibodies to see if certain foods are effecting this, causing inflammation etc. Is this for real? I mean I have heard all kinds of things about food, especially research I have done lately. But can certain foods cause that big of a change to my body that could cause this, or is this more of a shot in the dark that will waste my money?
