    Having trouble with the soldier

Having some trouble with the soldier. It doesn't seem to get as hard as it used to. Used to get so damn hard a cat couldn't scratch it. Just recently though it seems to be lacking its hardness. Have not changed my protocol at all. Only thing that has changed is my diet and I have lost about 10lbs. I also have not had any alcohol in 28 days. I know weight and alcohol both effect estrogen, so I am wondering if the weight loss and no alcohol is what is causing it. Maybe my estrogen is too low? Should I just drop my AI dosage down or go get bloodwork first? Or am I way off base on assuming that is the problem. Need to get it fixed because the wife is asking about it.

The question is do you have symptoms that you can connect to low vs. high E2? If not, now is a great time to get E2 checked, the adjust AI and see what happens.

For some low E2 and/or high E2 can affect erections. Lower fat percentage and less alcohol would point to less E2 in your body now, so I think you are suspecting the correct culprit.

I think I am going to get an appointment. I am coming up on a year since I started any way. Or maybe I will just go get me a 6 pack.....just kidding.

You're on the right track. Losing weight (less visceral fat) and cutting alcohol intake greatly impacts liver function (as indicated by reduced liver enzymes), which you know controls estrogen production. It also affects how medications are metabolized, meaning that your AI dose might now be too effective. Ideally, I would get a no-AI blood test to establish a new e2 baseline.

It makes sense to suspect lower E2. But I do notice a strange occurrence sometimes with my husband regarding alcohol and over eating. He stays on a lower carb diet and drinks alcohol only rarely to keep his weight in check. I notice that sometimes after a complete cheat night including sugar and some alcohol, he will have crazy hard erections all night. It's a pattern that I am yet to understand because if he remains on a cheat like diet and gains weight this more positive blood flow to his genitals disappears.

Maybe this relates somehow to the OP's predicament?

I will defiantely keep you all updated and I am going to make a doctors appointment. My guess is low E also. But I am not going to drink a bunch to test the theory.

PPC, I never had any problems before this diet and cutting my alcohol out. That is why I believe it to be estrogen related.

I would agree with jpkman on his point. YOu need to know what your E2 is right now, so I would not change any protocol until after the blood is drawn. If you stop AI now you don't know the E2 level when you were having issues.
