Good study, although I do feel badly for the researchers: out of the 130 men in the study, 2 died from heart failure and 2 developed prostate cancer!
Just bad luck, but it must have been a little embarrassing.
Trying to figure out how test-undeca might work out for those of us doing SQ. Maybe something like 2+ injections of 0.6± cc every two weeks.

Interesting thought. Somewhat defeats the purpose though of the every 10 week or so injection protocol. But based on charts of how Nebido levels will slowly fade like all substances do, I wonder how an every 5 week protocol would work?

Well concerning SQ, the limiting issue is volume, although increasing the interval to every two weeks still would be time saving.
It appears that IM Nebido produces fairly good levels over about a 4 week window (using the FDA-recommended 750 mg dose), so at first glance you might think something like 125 mg/week x 4 = 500± mg every month after a couple 2 week loading doses might be better.

Based on the graph in that first study, after you peak from an injection your T levels will drop 250 points in 2 weeks and about 400 points in 4 weeks. 4 week intervals is too much in my opinion. I have to admit though, a shot once every 2 weeks has lots of appeal. Would like to see that graph and how the levels are over time.
Am I reading this right: the 750 mg dose was in 3 cc of oil! Holy butt injection Batman! I can't even imagine getting 3 cc of fluid in an injection. 1 cc about kills me. So 500 mg would be 2 cc. That's a double butt cheek injection for me!Last edited by GotNoBlueMilk; 04-06-2012 at 04:47 AM.

The study didn't even use Nebido as its suppose to, its a 1000mgs with a follow up 1000mgs at 6 wks then one injection every 10 or 12 wks. Using 750mgs when it comes in a lot more sounds retarded.
Check my link out below for long term studies on Nebido.
I am bias but imho Nebido is the best therapy out there and is the future for trt.

So marcus, do you feel swings with this? Looking at the graphs in the first study link at the top of the thread, it would appear the swings are pretty huge. How much volumn is 1000 mgs? I have to admit, I'm a bit of an injection wus. 1 cc is about my limit at a site.

Please check out my Nebido thread below for further ling term studies.
The injection isn't 750mgs so you can't really look at that study for any guidance. The injection is 1000mgs 4ml.
Once the therapy was running at peak I don't feel any swings but if I'm critical I'd like to have an injection ever 10 wks over my 12 wk protocol. Please the studied I've posted in my Nebido thread it makes very interesting reading. I was on test e before and this therapy is far superior imho but if your happy with your trt stick with it bo need to change.

Thanks for the link! Now I have to wonder how I could get it in the US, and get 4 ml into my butt.

The most serious issue with injecting 4cc of an oil is fat droplet microembolisms. Essentially, the oil gets in your vascular system if you hit a blood vessel. That's why the FDA won't approve such large injections. Last I heard the manufacturer has abandoned its FDA application so unless they have a change of plan, it won't get approved here. Eventually, even if it does, it will almost certainly not be approved for self use which might be bit of a pain (no pun intended!) if you would like to inject more frequently.
It's an interesting approach (being able to inject 750-1000mg at one time) but I don't think it's the future of TRT. I'm looking more at engineered, micro-encapsulated oral forms of test-undeca as the real future.

It will be interesting to see how Nebido plays out in the U.S. once approved. Will all the TRT docs jump on board or will some just stick with Test Cyp & E? The data looks good, but I guess pricing & how soon insurance will cover it will be driving factors in the beginning. I also wonder if some patients will be reluctant to change if their current protocol is working for them.

Marcus, you say the proper method would be 1000mg at one shot then another 1000mg 6 weeks later, then after that 1000mg every 10 weeks?
