TRT and Anti-Estrogen
I am 43 6'1 215 lbs. I train at the gym 5 days a week. I have been on Test-E for over 2 years. My doctor did not give me any Anti-Estrogen to take with it or did not suggest cycling off the Test-E. I notice that it does not matter the amount of Test-E I give myself every 4 days I can not tell a difference. I have heard that your receptors can get overloaded and not release the test as normal. Do I need to be taking an anti estrogen along with the Test-E? I do not have any bloating or my nibbles are not tinder. The last blood work I had done did not show that my estrogen levels were elevated. I am afrade to ask my doctor much about it due to him freely giving me Test-E. The clinics in Flordia tells me that I need to be on an anti estrogen. I wonder if this is correct or are they trying to sell something. Can anyone help or have any experence in this matter. Thanks

Only bloodwork could tell you if you need a anti-estrogen or not.

Can you elaborate on what your "last" blood work panels said? How long ago were they taken, and how often do you run labs?
You give yourself ??? (amount) every 4 days ... You're leaving us with very little to work with here. Want to help, but need more on your end. Thanks

Word of advice to all HRT patients: ALWAYS get a copy of your labs! The general knowledge of HRT among docs is very lacking. You should always see your labs for yourself and understand them completely. Of course, if there is something you don't understand you post the labs here and ask questions.

500mg every 4 days is not TRT, it's a long term cycle. Did your doc start you on this due to low T? If so, your way over-doing it and long term it's not good. High end TRT is usually around 200mg per week. Alot of us include hcg and many do AI's if needed as well. If your goal is TRT and a lifetime committment, you need to scale it back. If it's to get the most out of cycles, take a look at the AAS Forum and read Ronnie Rowlands thread. He speaks in depth about receptor regulation. It's probably the sticky at the top of their forum.
Post up some BW please..

500mg every 4 days, is that a misprint??? basically a 1000mg every week for 2yrs continuos, I would think your E2 would be thru the roof. As stated, post BW, would be wise to get it checked now as well. Sorry, not trying to be a prick firestorm, but what you are doing is definetly not TRT.

200mg/ml 10 ml vial? Are you injecting 2.5 mls every 4 days?
What does your blood work look like? At 100 mg a week (.5ml) I am at the top of the range for testosterone .

Running 875mgs of test-e per week with no AI? Like everyone said, you need to get labs now.

That is correct. I have not had labs done in over a year. Not having any bloating or sore nipples. Just does not feel like it once did

Some people will never have nipple issues but their E can still be through the roof. If your doc is determining how much to write you based on what your T level initially was he really does not grasp the concept of HPTA shutdown, etc. I was at a 59 level pre TRT and sinking fast. I do 60mg every 3.5 days and I'm at the top of the chart. More is not always better here, especially for the long term. We all want to be at the higher end of the scale, as long as BW reveals it to be safe. Get some BW done Firestorm, for your own health and well being.

Your doctor is doing you some serious harm right now. 500mg test every 4 days and no BW in over a year? Your blood work must be completely wacked out unless you arent absorbing the testosterone .
If you have no idea how much 500mg every 4 days is, go read the steroid forum and look at what they recommend for a beginning cycle. You are over 2x that.
I would get a full BW done, lipids, test, e2, rbcs, psa, everything.
EDIT: Is your test from a major pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, Costco) or a clinic/compounding pharmacy? I guess its possible your test is not real or low concentration too.Last edited by GFA; 04-07-2012 at 06:23 PM.
