After a very bumpy (or lumpy) start, I am back on TRT with what I think is a normal level dosage protocol.

About a one month or so ago, to begin my TRT, my doc hit me with two 300mg blasts of cyp two weeks apart. His recommendation for my protocol after his blasts were 100mg twice per week and 500 units of HCG 3 times per week w/o any anti-aromatase product.

I had already made a personal decision to run a lower dose (1/2) of what he suggested. Just as I had begun the routine I noticed some serious lumps in my pecs and some definite tenderness. The lump in the right lower pec was visible to the eye! I went in to let him have a look at me. I knew what it was. To be safe I was sent for a mammogram & an ultrasound. Of course the results on both were negative. At that visit he pulled me off hcg & cyp and started me on Arimidex . He wrote the script for 1mg two times per week. I made the judgement call to take 0.25mg EOD. I took a total of eight 0.25mg doses and the lumps and soreness were gone. I stopped the A-dex at that time. I was off the hcg & cyp for about 4 weeks total. Man oh man, by the end of that period, I had no sex drive, I was so tired, I didn't lift, I was really dragging, etc, etc.

I saw him on Friday of last week. I am now on 60mg cyp twice per week and 0.25mg Arimidex twice per week. I go back in 6 weeks for BW. We'll talk about HCG at that time. For now he wants to keep it nice and simple.

I had gyno removed in the 90's, so I had no lumps right at the nipple area (that's where my tissue removal was), the recent lumps were in other areas in the pec. Areas that I apparently still had tissue that could be affected. I'm still amazed how quickly the lumps were produced. Hopefully with this current protocol, I'll not have that problem again.

So now my doc and I are on the same page with my normal and what he may consider to be conservative dosages.
