TRT clinics
I'm making an appointment for monday, they don't mention anything about TRT, its bio- identical hormone therapy, would it be possible to post a link here to the websites main page?? Just to get an opinion before I pay the deposit.
Thank you.

So these places charge a bomb for a " wellness plan " which is just cheap test?
-

according to the latest rules you can't post a link! and no, its not cheap test, so far I've never heard any clinic sold cheap test. i am guessing by cheap you mean bad quality...

I just mean there gunna charge an awful lot for something that doesn't cost much, I'll do my best to ask for prescriptions

clinic won't give you prescription only, they make a living on supplying the meds. your best bet is to find a TRT doctor that will write you a prescription, then you can take it to any pharmacy.

That's messed up, there's no other trt doctors in this country, this is the only place / you would think they would make enough money of the initial consultation and be happy with that

One last question, is there any way a clinic would refuse TRT after a blood test result?
-
absolutely... a doctor can choose who they want to treat and it's totally legitimate. that's how the USA is though, dunno about where you are.

yup thats why they do blood work as mandatory procedure!

Well, in theory that may be true, a clinic COULD refuse treatment but I HIGHLY doubt that a clinic would refuse anyone treatment, maybe if your natural test levels were very high....maybe.....after all if a clinc Doc says it's a necessity, and he likely will, then who is gonna argue that point?

As others have said, YES. No entitlements to HRT. They can arbitrarily decline anyone for any reason, including BW, age, medical history, or even if the patient presents himself in a manner that would leave the clinic feeling uncomfortable with treating the patient.
No shirt, No shoes, No Testosterone !

Are we talking about the same kind of clinics?
-
04-15-2012, 11:21 PM #15
yes JD, my clinic in Florida stopped my treatment due to my kidney creatinine and gfr levels being bad. they would not continue my treatment until i was checked by a specialist and and got an ok from him to continue my treatment.

I understand that but my experience has been that I can call and get whatever I want and however much I want, I get offers from clinics all the time that will go off my old blood work and just start sending me what I need (want) if I switch over to them. My script is 400mg a week, I only use about 150. I suppose there are a few clinics that are stricter but I haven't run into them. That said, it's a dangerous proposition and I would note for everyone reading this that I basically have to treat myself and stay on top of my own health, these places are legal dealers and I wouldn't trust their health advice, they intend to make sales not get you healthy.

^^^^^ perfectly said! With the exception of being able to obtain 400 per week my experience has been the same. Its imperative to stay on top of your own health. As Bass stated, first sign of trouble, all's they need to do is cut bait on you!

Bass, the AI thing was out of control and way too expensive for me, I buy "elsewhere" now and tell them that I don't need an AI so they just send me test now.
Edmundo....it seems like a job interview sometimes doesn't it, these clinics just have to cover their asses with paper work so they don't break too many laws and get shut down. Find one that will work with you and not force you to buy x amount of product whether you need it or not.

Bass..... ADC
Strangely enough the only time I was asked about a prescription was when ordering tadalafil and even then I just sent an email saying that it wasn't going to be used in the U.S. or some such nonsense.Last edited by JD250; 04-16-2012 at 06:17 PM.

If you have low test levels, and go to a real dr not an anti aging place it should be covered under insurance.

Question--I'm 42 and my father who is 90 had his prostate removed about 20 years ago.
I assume this is something I should inform my potential MD about when I find a clinic.
Is this--or could this--be a disqualifying factor?
Im trying to gather as much info as possible before I go in for a pre-screening and blood work.
Thanks in advance!

i saw a specialist, he looked at me and said you're fine and its due to my built, he said my kidneys are 80% functional. i lost 20% due to kidney stones and bad diet, but been that way for few years now so i am not worried. funny thing i never had my gfr over 59, but my latest blood work it was at 63!

That's certainly a factor, don't tell them about your father. If you take care of your prostate and have exams regularly you should be fine, we/they can second guess all sorts of things that MIGHT happen but in the end if you check out fine then they don't need to know about your father. My father had the same thing done about a year ago, I didn't call my clinic and inform them. My prostate is just fine.

Thats kinda what I thought.
I thought about starting a thread, but I didn't wanna clog up this board with a question that may have been asked.
I wasn't planning on telling them about it as I intend on paying close attention to my potential prostate problems for the rest of my life.
I really don't wanna NOT be able to do this.
TRT seems so right for me.
Thanks again.

Ok guys
Could not believe the consultation, it cost 195 euros, he basically said its up to him if I have low testosterone and winked when he said it, he then twiddled his thumbs for the rest of the hour, also he wouldn't take my blood, said the nurse wasn't in today and that I need to have my Gp do this which is another 50 euros.
Im 100% convinced he was gay from the moment I met him, he checked my prostate and then patted my bare behind after and then while checking my blood pressure which he did four times he had his hand on my arm and had my hand forced towards his lap, was seriously debating getting up n knocking him out at this point.
So anyways he's offering clomid, should I go with this??, really need your help on this guys.
