Latest blood work results and I need advice

Just got my numbers back.Things are looking better but I still have some tweeking to do.Total test 649 up from 412.Free test 169 up from 96.E 56 up from 43.5.I went from 200mgs every 2 weeks to get my last numbers and then switched to 100mgs every week to get my current numbers. My doc told me to go to 200mgs a week last time we changed dosage from a bi weekly to weekly and you guys told me 200 a week was to much. I agreed with all of you and from what I have read myself I decided to go with the 100 a week and it payed off with the exception of my E level. When I talked to her today she offered an AI which surprised me but also made me very happy. We talked at length and she is more educated on this then I first gave her credit. We also talked about zinc and L-carnitine to bring down the E.We both agreed to try the supplements first instead of throwing another drug into the mix.She said 60 to 90mgs of zinc a day and 1000 to 2000mgs of L-carnitine a day.I have read the thread on zinc but haven't seen anything on the L-carnitine.Anybody know anything about it?She also said losing belly fat would help as well.I am down 57 LBS already and have 15 more to reach my initial goal of 275.I am 6'4" and compete in highland games and some strongman stuff so to be 347LBS I was fat but not sloppy.I was at 305 for the longest time and got hurt and ballooned up from sitting around recovering. As for the AI she said she could give me armidex which I have heard of and it sounds like the drug of choice or avodart.Never heard of avodart, anyone know anything about it?I test again in 6 weeks to see if the supplements drop my E level.Any suggestions as to what I should do?Would twice a week at 50mgs help drop my E?By the way these numbers were achieved at day 7 before I took my weekly injection so it should be a low reading.

I started to feel slightly better half way thru week four on the weekly dose.I would like to get my T a little bit higher and see how that feels.Or would dropping my E and keeping my T at this level make a big difference ?

she's right on some things... first of all, avoiding taking arimidex is the best idea. it has side effects, we don't know the long term effects, and very importantly it is hard to get right! plenty of guys get their ED in full force because of too much potent AI use.

also, losing fat is VERY important. the aromatase loves fat. even though it's not a guarantee that your estradiol will come down enough, it will definitely help to lose the fat. not only that, but losing fat is just good for mental and health reasons.

zinc might help. I have no idea about the carnitine for aromatase, never even came across it. but I've heard good things about chrysin. to a lesser extent grapeseed extract. I wish I could tell you how to dose the chrysin, but I am looking into it. It could very well turn out to be a viable alternative to anastrozole for a mild reduction in e2.

now.... if you're getting gyno I would hop on a potent AI because that's a more severe situation. but otherwise, I would definitely favor some more natural and probably less side-effect prone approach. the biggest problem is that we just don't have the research on this stuff because there is no money to be made. but that doesn't mean it's not working for some, if not many people.

Glad your making progress and have a doc willing to help you! Twice a week may help a bit. Theory is less injected at one time equals less spike in E levels. Also keeps your levels more stable. Do a little research on B6 also to help with E control. If you end up on adex start extremely low and alter based on BW.

Also, if you can post your full BW with ranges it would be a plus...

Thanks for the replies .Sorry about the rambling opener to this thread.I was trying to get in as much details as possible .Hrt if you learn any more about chrysin please post it.I will be doing some research on my own about it.The doc told me she read a study about L-carnitine.She says it is suppose to help lower E..Kelkel do you think twice a week would make much difference in my E level? If twice a week would make as much of a difference as when I went from biweekly to weekly then I am going to twice a week.I was real surprised by how much my T jumped without raising the dose and going weekly. No signs of gyno right now so I am going to try the supplements for now.As for the ranges She just gave me the numbers over the phone.I am getting a copy of the report tomorrow and will post the ranges then.

Here are the ranges. % free testosterone 2.5% range 1.6-2.9%.Sex hormone bind glob 20 nmol/l range 11-80.Testosterone free 159 pg/ml range 47-244.Testosterone tot 649 ng/dl range 300-890.Estodial level 56.10 pg/ml range 7.63-42.6.I am planning on going to twice a week injections and to inject in the delts and quads and rotate sites each time.I am concerned about my E.I don't seem to have any symptoms of gyno. What other symptoms can you get from high E?I cry on occassion during a chic flick, does that count ?

yes your e2 should be in range not over. 20-30 and you would be doing better. I would buy some fomeron transdermal AI if you cant' get liquidex.

Levels look good other than E2. Was BW done the day prior to injection? Yes, I think splitting the dose in half every 3.5 days will help. Be very careful trying to lower your E level if you choose to. Very easy to crash it. Check the site sponsor for liquidex if you go that route as they are trustworth and quick. Just google symptoms of high/low E.

KelKel yes it was day 7 prior to injection so these are trough numbers.I am going to split the dose and inject in the quad and delts by myself. The wife has been doing them in the glute for me but I want to be able to do this myself.Any thoughts or suggestions on my injection sites?Do I need a script for liquidex? My doc said she would prescribe an AI if I wanted to go that route. We talked about using zinc and L-carnitine to lower E.I am going to try that first because frankly the AI kinda scares me.She wants me to do BW in 6 to 8 weeks.Should I let my E level be that high for that long? How long do you guys think it would take the supplements to lower my E if will do it at all?
Keepfightin thanks for the encouragement.Yes my doc has been very good to me and we talked on the phone a good half hour about TRT and she knows more about it then I gave her credit for. When she taught my wife to give the injection she said we were the third ones that day.Sounds like she has some experiance.I am so happy with her,she has been great about everything over the years I have been with her.

Injections sites are personal preference. I've rotate glutes and delts. Was doing SQ for a while but not much anymore. Look at this site:
http://**************.com/ as it walks you through pretty much all possible sites (spot injections . com) just in case it gets filtered. ^And it did!

A script is not needed for liquidex from our sponsor. But if your doc will write it you can always cut the pills down with a pill cutter for proper dosing. Look into B6 also to help with your E also. Your E level is not through the roof and maybe the supps will help you along with splitting your injections. Only way to know is BW. How long it takes is unique to your metabolism.

Thanks KelKel .I will look into the B6.I thought 6 to 8 weeks was a long time to wait to see if my E drops .I guess Im getting a little impatient .It seems like I am right on the edge of where I need to be.I did read the symptoms of high E and one was joints that ache.My knees have been bothering me a couple of weeks now so maybe I am showing some symptoms.
Oddly enough my doc called while I was writing this and she is going to check to see if I am primary or secondary next BW.Thanks everyone for all of your help.I appreciate it tremendously .
