now this is interesting! subscribed. why not donate blood to lower your rbc? i don't think one month off is going to do anything especially for cholesterol.

Copy Bass, been there, off for 8 weeks, wont depress you with the outcome. Donate, first and foremost. Please keep this going as I have great interest in hearing your trek.

    Do you donate blood?

Have you tried it in the past to lower risk of polycythemia? As for the cholesterol... what are your numbers? Don't go on a statin though for crying out loud!

Not to hijack, but what's wrong with Statins? I recently went on a low dose of Crestor and it really improved my Cholesterol panel...

Agree with others on the donating. Good move with the HCG , that will be your friend if your leydigs are in good condition. Not sure what the reasoning was for the Nolva? Can't foresee the HPTA even remotely beginning to restart after 9 years of suppression ... I took it when I had some receptor sensitivity issues due to estro rebound, but never had any intentions of it working to restore natty.

Warchild after 2 years I took a break for some of the same reasons. My RBC and hemoglobin just kept coming back up even after donating blood on a regular basis, my cholesterol has never been out of whack. The only time I had cholesterol problems was with winnie. I'm with vette about the nolva don't think you'll need it. The tore and HCG should be enough. I took 3 months off and it wasn't bad at all. Stay busy and keep hitting the gym.

This is not just lipotor but all Statin drugs.
    These serious side effects include:
Muscle problems. LIPITOR can cause serious muscle problems that can lead to kidney problems, including kidney failure. You have a higher chance for muscle problems if you are taking certain other medicines with LIPITOR.
Liver problems. LIPITOR can cause liver problems. Your doctor may do blood tests to check your liver before you start taking LIPITOR, and while you take it.

Call your doctor right away if:
You have muscle problems like weakness, tenderness, or pain that happen without a good reason, especially if you also have a fever or feel more tired than usual

    Just google Statin side effects.

I'd just give a shit load of blood and start using 500-1500 of regular niacin, and some b-5. Up your vitamin E and fish oils and re-test in 2 months. Coming of TRT after a decade? Yipe. What's your ball size like? Personally i wouldnt, because how long you plan to stay off...ya know? Then you'll go back on and you'll have the same problems...maybe. Taking a "break" might not help. I have to admit im kinda curious what happens and if you are able to recover to any appreciable degree and not feel like total crap. I will be following this thread.

Word. My dad was on lipitor and he started getting foggy. He suspected it was the stuff and did some resaerch. Stuff practically makes some peopel damn near retarded, so he quit it

Take a month off TRT? Does he really think this will provide any sort of long term adjustment of either value?

Agree with above guys on avoiding statins. Non-statins can have their share of sides too. I use Welchol with zero sides from it. Take a look at it.

Long term statin use depletes coenzyme q10 which can lead to heart failure

Well guys an update. this by far was the WORST decision ever. I was feeling fine up until friday which was exactly 1 month off. 2 weeks into pct and i completely crashed. depression and terrible sense of well being. Ill never come off again. Not worth it. I have never felt this crappy. Started back up so now a few more weeks till im back to normal. Lost some muscle mass but i dont care about that cus all i really want todo is just feel good again. my advice to you all is dont come off.

So what is the payoff? What did you gain? What did you learn? Bloodwork? I understand you feel crappy right now but maybe after you feel better you could give a little deeper insight into all this......and then go kick that doctor square in the nuts, that should make you feel better.
