Brand name Testosterone Vs Compounded
I am considering a switch to brand name Testosterone .
I have been on COMPOUNDED 100mg test c / week ,for 11 months,I am having some acne issues that i am trying to resolve with over the counter type remedies with modest sucsess.
Is there a major difference btw the two?
I only know of one difference$$$

Why do you want to change over to brand name?
Is it because u are getting acne?Or because you feel that you are getting weak compounded test??
And if you do change over I would consider getting a generic and not brand name if you can.The brand name costs way more!!!

The acne has been getting worse for the past 4 months.
It really took off after adding deca for 18 weeks 1/2 cc/wk.I came off the deca in january to see if anything might change but it has only gotten worse.
My latest blood panel showed a increase in E2 ,it went from 15 to about 35.
My latest vial of test had 90%/test C/10%Test E ,maybe the test E had something to do with it?
There is no smoking gun here ,so time will tell ,the process of eliminaton is becoming a drag though.
The main question i have ,do bros feel different on generics or brand name Test?

Unless the reaction to the oil is what is effecting you then there will be absolutely no difference, testosterone cypionate is the same. I'm not sure if that's the issue though.
I would guess there's probably a good chance the compound pharmacy and the name brand get it from the same supplier as well.
What's your testosterone free and total?
Finally, acne is one of those things you are just going to get more of with TRT. General skin health may be your best avenue as opposed to messing with your hormones.

Agree that it's probably more of an oil reaction, especially if you noticed the increase with deca .
As far as quality, I've used many of the major brands as well as the compound pharmacies. No difference at all from my experiences.

Deca does that to me too.......even at low doses, goes away after a month or so after discontinuing use, shower with dawn dish soap and scrub your back with a brush, helps quite a bit but once I get off deca it clears up considerably more.

I guess i will give the dish soap a whirl.I use wich Hazel after toweling off from a shower,i was told this might help.

Why not try a small dosage of an AI? This would be a lot more likely to work than a change in Test brands.
Another good idea would be to donate blood, doubt it would help the acne much but its likely your RBGs and blood pressure are high and this it would help.

Those numbers look really good. I wouldn't screw around with an AI if you don't need to. I would rather look into skin care health/products.
Luffes? (scrubbers), daily showers, perhaps something even like retin-a which is used for acne and skin health.

I've done Steris, Watson, Upjohn ( US brands) and some Euro Pharma brands, have never been able to tell the diff. between those and compounded.

May wanna give PanOxyl a shot if other methods aren't workin.. I used many diff soaps n topical products without much luck.
Picked up a bar of PanOxyl for like $6 at Walmart and within a week my acne was gone... It'll dry your skin out pretty good though so use a moisturizer after.

My post did not reflect the high end of the total testosterone range 170 to seven eighty, sometimes the numbers get blanked out when i post for some reason?
I started out at 2100 total t on 200 mg test c/week.Free T was also way out of range. That was in august 2011.I have gradually come down to normal levels on 1/2 cc test C/Wk.
I take .5 mg Anastozole 2x/week,to keep E2 in check. There has been lot of hormonal fluctuations since starting my trt ,wich could have set off my skin issues.
I think i will stick to the skin product approach ,i just have to find wich one works for me.
