Blood Work...
So I had my Testosterone levels checked and this seemed quite low to me...
Testosterone , Serum 281 ng/dL
Also had a lipid panel done:
Lipid Panel
Cholesterol, Total 117 mg/dL 100-169
Triglycerides 90 mg/dL 0-149
HDL Cholesterol 58 mg/dL >39
VLDL Cholesterol Cal 18 mg/dL 5-40
LDL Cholesterol Calc 41 mg/dL 0-99
Creatinine, Serum 1.06 mg/dL 0.76-1.27
So as a 20 y/o male who works out 5 times a week, how low is my test? Doctor said that this was average, but with the other levels I have seen posted here it seems low.

not enough to know why your T is low, and yes it is low for your age. what is the range? need to do a complete male hormone panel, like TSH, LH, FSH, E2, SHBG, etc... see Kelkel's thread about Finding a Physicians to see what blood work you need. any AAS history, smoke, alcohol, medication?

No smoking. A little alcohol here and there. Only medication was accutane over a year ago and now I am just on an anti-bacterial Minocycline.
And no AAS.

what's the range on the test?
what time of day was your blood drawn?
did you eat before the test?
any recent lifestyle changes, stressors, diet changes?
I know it's exam time and if you had exams that was a huge stressor for most people I knew including myself. I probably wouldn't test my T level around then!

Included picture.
Time of day was around lunch. Yes I had eaten, but no I was not stressed any more than usual and it wasn't around exam time.
Around 1 yr 6 months ago I started eating really healthy, like a bulking diet for lifting, but I do not see how that would have had a negative effect on it. But no other lifestyle changes.

What are you taking the Minocycline for?

Your test value wouldn't be unusual for someone who has/is running cycles, but if you're asking if you are a candidate for TRT, I would say, no.
Give it some time, stay away from AAS, and then see what the fully recovered values are iike.

Your only 20? dont consider HRT only as a last resort. Your doctor needs to do more test to find out why your levels are low.

Yeah. I had a long talk with my doctor yesterday about not starting HRT so young.
Gave me a number of a urologist and nutrionist to see determine what is causing my issues. Also got my Free Test tested.

The first cycle was a 30mg dosage of anavar for 3 weeks when I was 18. Haven't started the Test E or dbol and planned to sell it off to one of my friends because of the strongly discouraged usage of >25 AAS.
My bad on the "never used AAS", and "never ran a cycle". In my mind I completely disregarded the anavar, sorry about that.
