    E2 help please

My doc doesn't test for e2 or do a/I 's . Well after a year of asking for a e2 test , he did one . Here what I have , total estrogen 150 pg/ml ( e1 plus e2 ) range is " less then 200 pg / ml . I've been talk .25 mg ew of liquidex. Based on a lot of what I've read here . Is this a high number ?

How are you feeling with your current levels? When did you start taking L-dex in relation to starting trt?
I'm in the same boat as you, my docs are reluctant to test anything other than total and free test. I was doing well for about a year, but not so good the last 8 months. Easily fatigued and tired all the time, muscle soreness 3-4 after a workout etc... My test levels are in the upper end of the range and that is all they see.
I'm waiting to see an endo, who I'm hoping will be more willing to look beyond the obvious.
I order L-dex recently and was going to try .5 mg week to start and see if that makes a difference in how I'm feeling.
I definitely follow this and see what the experienced guys have to say.
    Cheers

Sounds like it could be your E2 causing your libido and bloat issues.
Post your blood work results as well as trt protocol so the guys can better assess your situation.

Estradiol (E2) is the major hormone of interest in TRT as we all know.

Testing of other hormonal class “estrogens” like E1 and E3 via a 24 hour urine panel can help explain gynecomastia or water retention when E2 is in an acceptable range. This is why some guys here will present symptoms of elevated E2 but their BW will return with a normal serum level. So E1 and E3 have a specific reason for testing but not like E2 which is a seperate lab.

The OP needs to ask for the ‘sensitive’ assay. If not, the lab will use their standard estradiol designed for women which is useless for men.

The OP's current lab is of little purpose to make any conclusions as to E2 level and management course of action.

Thx for the input gdivine , I was afraid this test would do me. No good . It stinks cause it took me a year to get to this point with my dr . He has no problem writing me scripts for 200 mg of test ew , all covered by ins , which is great . I have dropped my test to 160 a week and still feel good . I'd like to do a blast soon and was hoping to know where my ai needed to be ... I'll search the site , I know bass posted a at home testing site and I'll do it myself ... Thx boys

the sensitive assay is more expensive, and the regular e2 test that most of us do is about $50 or so from online labs. if you don't mind paying the extra then go with the sensitive assay because its most accurate.

You can order blood tests through Life Extension. I believe they are reasonably priced but you may be able to find cheaper on the web.

If you look at privatelabsmd, they have a pretty extensive male hormone panel. If you go that route, plenty of get -15% weekly coupon codes, so just let us know if you need it.

Like GD stated, we can't really make any conclusions based on what you provided us. The good news, it doesn't take too much or too long to get the labs so that we can discuss it further with you.

If & when you get the labs, please keep it posted on this thread if you don't mind ... Thanks
