Need to know much more about you.
How do you know your Thyroid is very good...I don't see one panel that says that.
Free is on the lower end of the range but would need to see more hormone class assays to make any determination on whether or not a TRT protocol would be warranted for you or not.

Sorry guys! First, I'm 43 y/o. I will have to wait until Monday to get copies for thyroid and CBC. Forgot to ask for it before leaving the office this afternoon. Will post when in hand.

Ozzie lipids do need help. Do cardio also. Vit D results differ on the posts but either way, low. Start supplementing as you want it mid-range. There are D receptors in every cell in your body and it will ultimately help your T levels by reducing your shbg. Speaking of which, I don't see it above. It's important to know that level as it binds T in your blood along with albumin (to some extent) which is listed.
Agree with GD, your border line low but we need to see the rest. Be sure to post your LH & FSH levels. We/you need to determine why your low and whether it's pituitary related, testical related, etc. and if it's worth some alternative therapy attempts prior to initiating TRT. Your TSH level is fine but keep it under 2. Newer range for tsh is .3 - 3.0, not the above btw. Any other thyroid panels? We'll respond more on Monday if you can give us a little more.

Gentlemen,
Will have Thyroid panel, LH and FSH done before the end of this week. I have a feeling I am a candidate for treatment, however, will post results as soon as I have them in hand. In the vent my gut is right, I have a quick question. What is a good routine to get started on? Kel, in a different thread I believe you mentioned 100 mg test cyp twice weekly, HCG twice weekly the day before cyp pin, nolvadex and clomid to jump start my system. Is this close? If so, what amounts of hcg, nolva and clomid are recommended weekly or otherwise?
Thank you for the correction in my ranges. May have been a typo or outdated ranges from the lab, or both. I was just happy to get my daughter out of the hospital last Friday! 4 weeks and multiple procedures just sucked me dry and then some. Glad she's home and recovering very well!!!

So happy to hear about your daughter Ozzie...I can't imagine being the father of two boys 7 and 9...it would wipe me out with what you're going through my friend...God bless you and your family!

Ozzie, first things first, glad to hear your daughter is home and recovering, went thru it with my daughter 3yrs ago, words cant even decribe, but you know.
Litle bit of an understatement by Kel, your lipids need serious help. maybe all the stress, maybe eating like shit but they need attention asap. TRT can have a damaging effect on lipids, personally i would get them squared away weather its diet and excerise or medication or maybe both. You wont be doing your daughter anygood with M.I.

Ozzie I don't recall what post your referring to but it would have been 100mg per week (not 200) either 1 inject at that dose or split into 2 doses of 50mgs. Hcg depends on your test dosing protocol. Crisler proposes 2 and 1 day before weekly test dose. Visit his site at www.allthingsmale.com and click on publications and read up. A lot of us go EOD with hcg as I pin T every 3.5 days. I personally go with 250IU M-W-F for simplicity.
Ancillary therapies can be tried with HCG and/or nolvadex /clomid to stimulate more natural production prior to TRT.
I'd try everything else first prior to TRT. Better diet, lifestyle changes, exercise and proper supplements would be first IMO. If you do start trt find a competent doc first and make one addition at a time and titrate based on BW. Like GD said, post up asap so we can look further. BTW, do you have a sensitive E panel? How's your bodyfat level? You said your 198lbs but give us perspective, are you 5' or 7' tall.

Thank you for the responses guys! As a single Dad to 2 girls: 12 and 16 I've realized I need to make a lot of changes for mine and their sakes. My 12 y/o is the one with the disease. Times get stressful when she's sick and very well could play a role in how I'm feeling, however, when it's manageable, every day is like putting on one's socks.
I'm working with her nutritionist on a diet change which I've implemented already. Rarely drink, no drugs or smoking.
Doc is having me get FSH, LH, estradiol and DHEA sulfate taken and analyzed. Will post when completed. I've noticed changes, all inclusive for the worse for the past 1.5 years. Thus my BW, membership here and questions to you. I'm 5'11" tall at 198. Problem now is that my weight has settled to my gut in lieu of where it should be going. I've been framing houses for over 20 years. Always humping material, crouching over and swinging around like a monkey. My knees and back hurt everday despite knowing how to lift properly. Just part of the job. Point is, I get excersise at work and then again at the gym. My workouts seem counterproductive, but I keep at it including cardio. Feel like I've hit a wall all inclusive thus my quest to find out why and what I need to do to get back where I was or better.
Thanks for letting me vent and your support. This is a great place/forum!
I changed my lifestyle, for the better, 2 years ago. Alot more relaxed, not easily excited, and almost eliminated all stessors. Mostly toxic people. However, stamina, energy, well being, drive, focus, to name a few have greatly reduced or left the building. Some insight as to why I'm here, asking questions, getting BW et al.
Thanks again guys!

Post your BW here and make sure that the Estradiol assay is "sensitive" or else it will be worthless for the most part...and it's an important one.
I would also like to see Cortisol as well as a complete Thyroid panel...

Will do Kel. Should have results in a few days. GD, I requested the cortisol and complete thyroid panel at the lab, however, it wasn't on the doctor's order so they would not comply with my request. Will chat with my doctor and see what she can do.

Guys,
Just received my final BW for now. Rest of my BW is in the thread "Bloodwork (Partial)".
LH is 6.3 Reference 1.7-8.6
FSH is 3.9 Reference 1.5-12.4
DHEA-Sulfate is 198.6 Reference 88.9-427
Estradiol is 15.8 Reference 7.6-42.6
Have an appt with doc on Wednesday. Prior to these labs they were hinting on the following test cyp, hcg (twice weekly), anastrazol for therapy. Any recommendations/suggestions before my appt?
Also, I would like something for joint pain. My knees are shot due to work for the past 20+ years. Suggestions? I tore my right quad again on Friday just from squatting down on a wall to pull up a truss. No weight on it at all when it happened other than my own. This is a common occurrence with right and left quads. I have knee braces, but I'm hoping there is a better way as a prevantative. Is there something that will help with joints, muscles and so forth to help this from happening that I can discuss with them.
Thanks!

Would like to see E around 20 - 30 app. I myself struggle here also and run between 15-16 steady without an AI. Try glucosamine & chondroitan for joints. If there's no actual damage it may help you. Works for me as well as a lot of other people. Also getting your E up a bit can help with joints. My joints are fine at that level but yours may not be. If all fails with your knees take a look into Synvisc Injections: http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/treatment/a/synvisc.htm. LH/FSH appear fine. Do you have shbg?
Next bloodwork obtain a C-Reactive Protein test (or did I miss it above.) It basically measures inflamation in the body and can point an adept physician in the right direction. My thought process here relative to your joints is arthritis . Worth a look to rule in or out. If you do end up going with TRT after ruling everything else out, be sure you start one substance at a time so you know exactly what effect each has on your body. Others will chime in too Ozzie!

Thanks Kel! No shbg or C-Reactive performed yet. Will mention it to the doc during my appt. If I'm hearing you correctly in regards to TRT; start with test and wait for effects prior to starting the anastrazol, hcg , and/or any other meds they prescribed, joint issues aside? After reviewing my BW, is it safe to say "jump starting" my system is not the way to go?
