    What should I do?

I have been on 100mg EW TRT for 6 weeks now. My levels started at 300 (I'm 31), and after last BW they were 850 (300-1100 range I think, don't have the BW in front of me). I was concerned about Estrogen, but she only checked total Estrogen, not E2. My total was 165, and she said the desired range was less than 130. She did not feel this required anything. After doing more research I told her I wanted to check E2, but she said it wasn't necessary as my levels were acceptable and she wouldn't prescribe off-label anyway. She also said HCG was unnecessary.

So I went to another doctor on Friday, and his reaction was that 300 was a perfectly normal level and he wanted me to stop TRT. I told him I wasn't interested in that, as I feel much better now.

In the meantime, my nipples have become a lot more sensitive. I am very concerned about this. I have scheduled an appointment with another doctor, but the next opening is not for 3 weeks. I am worried to wait that long to get this addressed. What should I do? Should I just order from an AI myself and start taking it? If so, what dose? Should I try to check BW myself? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Definately order up an AI. 6 or 7mg/day to start and adjust as necessary til symptoms begin to dissipate.

What AI should I go with? Do you have to pin an AI? Every day?

You may also want to split your Test dosage and inject 50mg 2x a week this may also slow conversion to estrogen. Also provides a smoother ride smaller ups and downs in your total test level.

SHE is not a male. Ask her what she would do if her testosterone level was over the norm? There is no issue prescribing an AI but as she does not understand proper E2 monitoring she is of no help to you. She won't write what she does not understand. You need a sensitive E2 assay which is male specific. What you had done really doesn't help much. Just wait until you ask for HCG as your testicals are shrinking. She'll say it's off label use (it's not) again. SHE does not have testicals.

You need to find another doctor who knows TRT and will treat you accordingly. Read the Finding a Physician Sticky and follow some of the advice there, it may help. Don't waste appointments. Use your phone. In the meantime you can do as stated above and order through the site sponsor Ar-r and pick up liquidex for research purposes. Only takes 2-3 days to receive and dosage instructions come with it (oral-liquid.)
You can also have bloodwork done privately at various sources such as privatemedlabs .com. I seperated it in case the site filter grabs it.

Let us know how it goes for you on this thread.

Agree w/ kelkel, pick up some liquidex and just do it yourself. Start w/ 1 mg (1 ml of liquidex) and then do .5 mg 2x per week after that (or .25 4x). Eventually you might want to pay for your own E2 test if the doc wont order it to see where you are at and adjust your dosage accordingly.

get the e2 tested before you start taking AI if you can so you will know if indeed you are high and what dose AI does what for you

3 weeks IS NOT going to do ANY harm

    ^^ This ^^

Sticking with a doctor that has this mindset will only lead to regrets down the road ...

unless u only need the doctor to write the scripts

my doctor knows shiat about trt but keeps my test script running

if your in need of trt...imo, that is the most important facet of the patient doctor relationship

that is, if you yourself are learned

The OP's situation is like a broken record around here...men being medically mismanaged and put in harm...these asshole "Doctor's" should be put in front of State medical boards...which might make a good threat LOL!

    OP, follow Kel's advise...

    agree with the advice given...

    it is so common unfortunately.

OP you sound like you went to the same doc I did lol.

But anyways, for the time being lower the dose and/or split it up to get a smaller peak T level. you could go off cold turkey and that very well might be the best thing for the gyno, but you will feel like shit.

see if the doc will give you a couple week supply of anastrozole or tamoxifen . u could actually even ask for a 1 week supply because they would give you 7 pills and you could split that up. it would definitely help with the estradiol, but good luck. seems like many doctors tell you to get lost as soon as you want a drug they know nothing about other than what the little drug reference tells them. and anastrozole for men is off-label.

get an expert in male hrt ASAP.

I should add, the good news for you is that gyno goes in stages and it takes probably 2-3 months before the tissue becomes fibrous and "permanent" (sans surgery). so you still have hope for sure.

I had some nasty nips flaring up like a girl turning into a woman, but it went down to what I thought was normal. Then it came back though when I changed TRT protocols, sigh...
