    TSH Reading - Please interpret?

High this is my TSH reading, can someone please interpret this reading and if its related to a slow metabolism-moderate-or fast??

    TSH: 0.94 (0.35-4.94) -
    T4 Free: 17.4 (1-25) -

It would be nice to see Free T3 and RT3 as well, but TSH and FT4 numbers look fine. T4 is just within upper third of reference range, so you are within optimal.

Some people have trouble converting T4 to T3, but that's unusual and would typically come with a high TSH as the pituitary/hypothalamus tries to compensate (assuming the hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid axis is working properly). Your TSH is great so that indicates your system thinks your thyroid hormones are fine. Probably doesn't warrant further thyroid blood work IMHO.

Metabolism has a lot more going into it then just thyroid, but as far as how the thyroid contributes, here is a simplified list:

    HYPOthyroid: slow metabolism
    Normal: normal metabolism
    HYPERthyroid: fast metabolism
