43 years old. Low test, Please help!

I had blood work done so i asked my doc for a complete hormone work up and this is what came back.

    Testosterone Serum 323L ng/dl
    Testosterone Free 6.69 ng/dl
    % Free Testosterone 2.07%

He obviously did not do a complete work up of all hormones but it's better than nothing. BTW I am 43, and have lifted for 15 years. I have run several prohormone cycles during that time. I have been taking 6 DAA and 6-oxo for the last 1-2 months. I stopped taking the DAA and 6-oxo and boom my sleeping immediately improved 100%

Freaked out , a month later i went to see a Dr who is known to be pro hormone therapy. She talked to me for about 45 minutes and figured that my HDL cholesterol was way too low to make my own test and said i need to really increase my fatty acids but in the mean time she wanted to get my test up. I wanted to do try a Clomid restart but she said she does not like Clomid and without knowing my LH and FSH levels i did not know if I was even a good candidate so I did not push her on it. Anyway she put me on a compounded cream of 65 mg test and some progesterone. She said that the added progesterone would help with things like sleep. I mentioned that my sleep was greatly improved since stopping DAA and 6-oxo and she said that was because as the DAA and 6-oxo increased test it also decreased progesterone through another pathway. I could not argue because my sleep was way better.

I mentioned HCG because the wife and i are trying for kids, she said cream was not enough to shut me down enough to hurt sperm production. I should of left right then but i thought well maybe that is true, I know now it is not. Anyway i am on day 5 of the cream and can already feel a difference, maybe it is placebo but i did bang the wife 2 days in a row and i had not wanted or needed to do that in a long time. I think I want to continue on with her because she is willing to do whatever I want. She said it is my body and my call, so I know she will add or change whatever i want. My question is what should i do. Should i add in Clomid and or HCG? Should i change delivery method of test? I don't mind the cream and if it gets my levels up she has a compounding pharmacy that can do it for like $30 a month. She has doubts if the cream can get to me to the level I need to be and thinks that pinning twice a month will be the way to go. She said she will teach me how to pin but i think i will try the cream first. My sperm is my biggest concern right now and how to keep my balls producing the little bastards. What do you pros think? I would really appreciate any feedback.

just finished reading the rest. clomid while on TRT is waist of time and health in my opinion, you simply need to get on a proper TRT protocol. creams are okay but injections are the best. i don;t understand why your doctor was questioning some of your hormones but never ran a test! she should run a complete hormone panel, see KelKel's thread regarding Finding a Physician for what blood work you need. if you have a say in this then ask for Test Cyp, AI and hCG to be part of your protocol, how much that all depends on blood work, but start small then adjust per followup BW.

a complete TRT protocol should consist of and of course based on blood work,

100-200 mgs test cyp injected weekly or split to twice a week.
hCG 250 iu 3 times a week or you can go up to 500 iu twice a week.
AI, as needed, most here take 0.5 mg per 100 mgs test.
Donate as often as you can because your blood will get think pretty quick.
    vitamin D3.
    clean diet and exercise/lifting

You will also want to pin 2x a week not a month that it a real roller-coaster ride.

OK so I will definitely get complete blood work done. The question is since I already started can I wait a month or so and see how I do. Also how quickly do I need to add in HCG ? Can I wait 4-6 weeks or do I need to do it now. I kind of want to see how well it works before adding in anything if possible.

good idea not to add more than you need, you can wait on hCG but eventually you have to do it. 4 to 6 weeks will be fine.

Is there anything about the the added progesterone to my test compound that I should be concerned with? She said it would help, with what i am not sure? Any ideas to why she added it or what it will do?

    I did find this

Progesterone, like testosterone , in present in both men and women. It is a precursor to the adrenal hormones which include cortisol, androstenedione, and testosterone. Levels in men decline around 60 years of age. Progesterone protects the prostate gland and lower PSA. It not only inhibits aromatase but also 5-alpha reductase, raising testosterone levels and lowering both estradiol and DHT. It antagonizes the stimulatory effect of estrogen on the prostate gland and stimulates the anti-tumor antigen p53, helping to prevent prostate cancer. A low dose of progesterone may be part of male HRT

    Anybody else using progesterone?

If not twice a week at least pin once a week, do not wait 14 days, way too much. If your number 1 concern is the "swimmers" jump on the HcG soone rather than later.
