    New to HRT

    Hey everyone,

So first off, I am a 24 year old male, extremely active, fit, eat extremely clean, and do not take any steroids or other supplements. I'm 6'2 and weigh 185. I had been having symptoms of fatigue and low sex drive for awhile, so I went to a doctor and had my test checked.

    My results were:

    Total Test: 226 ng/dL
    Test free + weakly bound: 53.8 ng/dL
    LH: 2.7 mIU/mL
    FSH: 1.9 mIU/mL
    Prolactin: 6.6 ng/mL
    Hemoglobin: 16.2 g/dL
    DHT: 20 ng/dL
    Estradiol: 37.6 pg/mL
    Total Estrogen: 95 pg/mL
    Estrone: 60 pg/mL
    Estriol: <0.3 ng/mL

    - My question is this..... My endocrinologist wants to put me on test cypionate , WITHOUT taking an anti-estrogen, or HCG shots. I know that some people say that estrogen sky rockets when you start taking testosterone , so it's a good idea to take something like arimidex , but is this necessary? Also, I took a hair loss supplement for 2 years, called Propecia. I was reading up online about a lot of other young guys my age who have taken it also, and as a result had a low test level (since propecia blocks DHT). I have been off propecia for over a year, yet I still have low test levels. My doctor said that propecia was not the cause of my low test, but he sounds like he is just extremely arrogant, and does not want to listen to what I have to say. With all that being said, should I find a new doctor, or go with what he said I should do? Thanks.

Find a new doc. Work on getting your LH and FSH up before committing to TRT. My guess is propecia the cause. Clomid may help get things jump started. As far as hcg , despite what you read in these forums pretty tough to get from an endo. AI is tough also but you can convince them.
