    Gear - TRT question !

In going to vent/ask questions !!!!!

I would prolly say that 75% of the people I have met at the gym over the past 15 years that run gear all have no idea what they are doing. They get what they can get there hands on some use PCT and some don't. What actually happens to those guys after a cycle ? They seem to be normal and loose alit of there gains but still seem normal. If you read the majority of the post in here a new guy comes in and says I need TRT and everyone says post BW post stats post BW post BW we need more BW. Oh and post more blood work. Everyone says if you don't do TRT right within a few weeks your entire system will be shut down and feel like shit the rest of your life. You doctor is stupid, find a new doctor, get more blood work read the stickies. Don't get me wrong this is where I have educated myself for 15 years, but it really seems to me like we are getting a bit redundant with these new guys. Sometimes people post their pics asking for advice of what to take and to s of people chime in saying don't do gear, focus on diet. Post your BW, read the stickies. I'm not sure fellas, maybe I'm getting old but it just seems to be getting very negative and derogatory here.

Let me know what you guys think.
Read the stickies and post your BW too !!! lol

Your right, most guys at the gym have no clue on how to run gear and lose their gains as fast as they got them. It does get redundant asking for stats but a 120lb 18 year old should be advised to the dangers of AAS use. If your HRT posting blood work will help getting better feedback.

So it comes to this: you have got the information you need but are you patient enough to offer what you've learned to the new guy and the next new guy and the next new guy. Or not, you choose?

Well. I for one, would be pretty frustrated if someone handed me advice without knowing anything about me. That would make them equal to getting advice from my source. How could anyone possibly give accurate assistance without seeing bloodwork? Frankly, the level of knowledge in this forum (TRT) specifically is unheard of elsewhere.

As for stats, well... I couldn't give the same advice to a 195 lb 6' tall guy with 11% BF and a 300 lb guy @ 40% BF.

Like fit said, it does get redundant but the new people deserve an answer, just like we got. How we treat them determines whether they stick around and become helpful, productive members of this community. Everyone coming here has a problem that is unique to them. Redundant to us maybe, but it's theirs and they own it so it's very important to them. Posting blood work, reading the stickies is all part of the process and helpful both to new members and vets alike.

In my humble opinion the best way to treat the new members is to imagine it was you. How would you like to be treated? I think we were all treated pretty well. We're still here and helping others, learning, educating ourselves and others and best of all.....paying it forward!

^^ All the above with Kel, Aus & Fit. Henry, I hear what you're saying, but I'll debate you all night about this place being negative and/or derogatory. If anywhere on this site, I would venture to say the HRT Forum has got to be at the tops for being positive and supportive.

We ask questions to ascertain, that's just part of the process. Yes, sometimes there's a little emotion behind the words when we see a doctor and/or member going down a bad road. The bad road leads to failure, and I don't want any part of anything to do with failing. Lab work is the ONLY road to the truth, and most of us are just objectively looking to provide helpful responses to get a member on track. We will praise a doctor just the same when they are indeed looking out for their patient's best interest.

Many of us, like myself, have had unfortunate tribulations with our physicians. I had an endo tell me that I was trying to be Manny Ramirez for wanting to add HCG to my program. He also told me that it was federally illegal to self inject test, hence, it's a controlled substance; meaning the doctors control it! Sht you not, that's what he said. I was very early on in my program, and without the help of this place, I still might be spiraling downward with that medical team.

BTW, that endo actually fired me when I sent him a research study of HCG on patients from the Journal of Endocrinology. Yes, fired me because I presented the truth to him directly from his peers. Let's call a spade a spade ... You won't hear me calling this guy stupid, but I will respectfully say his education has failed him, and in turn was failing me.

People are looking to get the best advise they can here. IMO, HRT is maybe one the biggest decisions you will ever have to make in your life. Personally, I'm not going to give much advise to someone who won't invest in learning how to manage their protocol effectively or responsibly. Regardless if they're 20 or 60, most of us are going to want to know as much as possible about the individual so that we don't throw out comments that could ultimately cause further problems for the member. Again, BW is 100% truth, and the more we have the better we can assist someone with making responsible decisions.

You know, I couldn't live with myself if I just told some guy who is 20yo to get on a certain protocol because his test score is low, and then tell him all will be fine, wait and see, then find out down the road that he had a pituitary tumor, or some other condition that could have been addressed early on.

Honestly, I don't see the redundancy. What I see is consistency and responsibility. Over the past couple of years, the sticky board has developed into a dynamic resource, just loaded with a wealth of information, and just waiting to be utilized any way possible. Our objective isn't to "shoe" people off to the stickies, it's instead a tool used in conjunction to get our new members up to speed on the things they will need to know and face with decisions that last a lifetime.

People can choose to do this effectively, or they can choose to cut corners. I for one take great pride when I see a member take the right steps, get their program dialed-in, and achieve homeostatis. Maybe there's a lot of people looking for quick solutions, but I just don't see it being a simple process when it involves the dynamics of the endocrine system.

    Respect

Also, I don't think this place has been around for 15 years ... I might be wrong.

most of it has already been said , i originally came here looking for information regarding TRT for a medical reason , theres little out there that can give end user experience and input.
    my 2c >

1/ some of the problem these days seems to stem from alot of ppl blaming multiple problems (depression /low libido etc) on low testosterone , only by using blood work can can any definite advise be given , some symptoms of low testosterone are also the symptoms of many other conditions.

2/ GP's /doc's /endo's/uro's ect are not gods, they dont know everything and sometime miss things ,another persons input (who has end user experience) can go a long way.

3/ some ppl seem to want to con there docs into getting free AAS ( how do i lower my test score ) questions etc , if you want to do AAS for that purpose then do a cycle , there plenty of info here and elsewhere on how to do that , some of us struggle for years to get treatment and we are the ones that need it for a medical reason- that reason probably adds to my intolerance of ppl who are obviously trying to con the system.

I agree with you guys. I think what upsets me the most is I see people ask for BW or say read the stickies and that's all they say when you follow the thread closely. Maybe I was just in a bad mood that day. Sorry for venting fellas !

A lot of the posts especially by new guys are redundant but doesn't repetition help with reinforcing what you already know

I can say without a doubt the board, the patience of the members, and information I found is priceless.

I met with a doc on Thursday who is a HRT specialist (after already starting a program) and I think I cited information from this board 20 times.

From a "newer" perspective, I have seen so much good advice to first timers that is not only going to set them on a healthy path but also, assist them with avoiding the pitfalls you listed from "guys at the gym".
