HCG, need quick answer, please

My power has been out since Monday at 330pm. It's now Thursday at 533pm. How do I know if my HCG is bad? Today is the injection and I don't have a spare vial OR a place to store it if I did! Please help!

well, if it is in a sterile vial, then i would say it is prob good to go.

get some ice and an ice chest if you are able

you may want to get a pregnancy test and test it to see if it is still potent

Are there any studies, that you know of, regarding the life of hCG at room temp? Or any other literature that may suggest when the molecules have lost their potency after temps rise above ideal conditions?

How long does the unmixed powder itself stay good if stored in a fridge? Six weeks?

I've forgotten it in a room few times and continued to use it and it was fine. with the cold weather i think it would be fine if it stays out one day. my X clinic told me it was okay if i forgot it outside for one day.

the one i got is pharmacy grade and the expiration date is 2015

I would think one day would hurt it too much.

I believe if you place the powdered vial in the freezer, the ex date is almost indefinitely.

It was a quick response; he asked what's the worst case and it's "possible" it could lose potency...how much is anyones guess.

If it were me; I'd still use it.
