BD 26g 3/8" slip tip - wasting .1ml?
I just received some BD 26g 3/8" slip tip syringes in the mail and noticed there is close to .1ml waste at top that does not inject. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance
Dave

if you squeezed all the way and you still have leftovers then i suggest you get the ones without a slip on.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking as I don't see any way around it. Just sucks I ordered a box of 100 syringes :-/

I have the same problem, I load with an 18 g then switch the tip to 25x1 . I've looked around for syringe is that don't have a slip on tip and can't seem to find that size and well I still be able to load with that small of a gauge?

well, I know some guys suck up a little air bubble, and inject by having the syringe straight up and down so the air bubble is at the very top ... inject, and pull needle right when you get to the air bubble. good to the very last drop!

I ended up ordering another brand of 26g 3/8" syringes last night with an attached needle labeled as "low dead space". My BD branded syringes just had too much dead space, almost .1ml which is a lot when only injecting .25 ml (50mg twice a week protocal).
The air bubble was a good idea though, thanks for the suggestion bigboy!
***For those looking for the hard to find 26g 3/8" length attached needle, I went with the Covidien/Kenall branded Monoject Tuberculin Syringes
