Question Recommended labs in Crisler's protocol: Anything you would change or add?

Now that I'm finally getting started on my TRT, I'm trying to plan for future management. Crisler recommends the below labs on his protocol. Is there anything that you guys would recommend adding or changing from the list below? I'm starting off with Test C 50mg IM 2x/week.

    Thanks!

    INITIAL LABS

    • Total Testosterone
    • Bioavailable Testosterone (AKA “Free and Loosely Bound”)
    • Free Testosterone (if Bioavailable T is unavailable)
    • DHT
    • Estradiol (specify the Extraction Method, or “sensitive” assay for males)
    • LH
    • FSH
    • Prolactin
    • Cortisol
    • Thyroid Panel
    • CBC
    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
    • Lipid Profile
    • PSA (if over 40)
    • IGF-1 (if HGH therapy is being considered)
    • Vit D (25 Hydroxy) (added)
    • Pregnenolone (added)
    • DHEA-S (added)

    FOLLOW-UP LABS

Two weeks after initiating a transdermal, or five weeks after the first IM injection:

    • Total Testosterone
    • Bioavailable Testosterone
    • Free Testosterone (if Bioavailable T is still unavailable)
    • Estradiol (specify the Extraction Method, or “sensitive” assay for males)
    • DHT (especially if patient is using a transdermal delivery system)
    • FSH (3rd Generation—ultrasensitive assay this time)
    • CBC
    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
    • Lipid Profile
    • PSA (for more senior patients)
    • IGF-1 (if GH Therapy has been initiated already)
    • Vit D (25 Hydroxy) (added)
    • Pregnenolone (added)
    • DHEA-S (added)

Thanks, kel. I should have thought of those, but learning/trying to keep all of the information straight is a bit like drinking from a fire hose for this n00b. I've figured out that, initially, I need to write this stuff down and have a plan since my doctors obviously aren't up to speed on all of this.

Just curious, do you know how often the follow up labs will happen? Like once you are dialed in, do you still get all of the followup labs every 6 months from then on?

^^6 months is what I do. Norm is usually twice per year, sometimes once after dialed in. Between you and your doc. I like checking things every 6 months. Gives you time to make adjustments.
