If someone one TRT wants to attempt a restart - Does it matter when? Early or late?

    Hello,

I`ve been on testosterone for roughly six months now. Only recently did I start feeling well , but I`m not sure if testosterone was my real issue (it was low, but could have been surpressed because of other issues).

I don`t want to go off now, but I`m considering a restart in the future.

Is a restart just as likely to be successful after 5 years as it is after 5 months? Or should I try it NOW if I`m interested?

I use and have been using HCG EOD since I started.

    Thanks in advance,

    Renholder

Personally I do not know of any studies showing length of time making a difference. But I will check with a very good source on that question and get back to you.

    Thanks, kelkel.

    Looking forward to that.

If it does not matter if I continue for a few years, I will do that and rather attempt a restart during a period in my life that is more suitable than the close future.

Just remember, the older you get the less T your body is going to naturally produce anyway. By the time you are 40 you aren't producing what you would naturally at 20 anyway. If you wait long enough it's going to be low anyway.

I can appreciate the desire to at least try it. If it were me, I'd attempt it sooner than later. IMO, I'd like to see someone make it work. Re-starts posted on here generally don't seem to have good outcomes. What were OP's levels pre-TRT?

    Any news?

My levels were vicinity 400 ng/dl prior to TRT. Low, but they could be low because of other reasons.

Personally, I would rather be natural on 600-700 ng/dl if possible, than on 800-1000 with TRT for life.

The reason I`m even considering a re-start is that I'm not 100% sure that low testosterone was the real issue. Could be a symptom or connected with something else.
