8 weeks on TRT and have questions about continued body hair growth....

Hello! I've been on 8 weeks of TRT (Test Cypionate to be exact) .8mil (about 150mg) injections once a week. I'm feeling fantastic with great energy again and everything. After my 6 week blood work everything looks great according to my doctor. I did lots of research on possible side effects the only thing I didn't consider was the potential for body and facial hair growth. My question is this....I've never had any chest or belly hair....I now have quite a bit of belly hair growing in (it seems to be getting more prominent and darker by the week) and some chest hair (not much yet but again seems to be on the increase)....I've also alway had a pretty thin beard and that seems to be darkening and growing thicker. Will this trend continue as I stay on TRT? I'm wondering if I'm destined to have to wax or shave my torso. No back hair at this point thank god. Anyway, I'd like to hear from anyone that has some feed back regarding this. Thank you!

    P.S.
I guess if I am going to have some body hair it's a small price to pay to feel this good again.

I'm getting close to a year on trt, and it's pretty much steadily increased although really really slow. Very minimal differences now from when I started. But I think this has a lot to do with DHT levels as well, mine are fine and mid range. Have you had DHT checked? ANd what were your total and free test levels like at this recent bw?

We're getting older. You're gonna lose hair where you don't want to and grow it where you don't need to. Like you said, small price to pay.

Honestly, I don't know what the levels are right this second....I'm going to a men's health doctor and he's monitoring all my levels, from DHT, estrogen, red blood cells, colesterol, and more....he tells me my free testosterone has gone from low to on the high side of average now...so that's good. My next blood work is in week 16, I'll let you know then. Thanks for telling me your experience!

Hey Kelkel! Yes, I'm aware of what age will do for hair growth...I'm 46 after all:-) I know the belly, chest, and facial hair increase I'm seeing is directly as a result of my TRT....I didn't have any hair on my belly or chest before....now I have what I'd say is a light amount of belly hair and chest hair.....what I'm trying to learn is if this new hair growth will continue to get more and more dense to where I'm going to need to shave or wax or whether it should subside. I guess hearing from some guys like myself that were essentially hair free before TRT and where they are now after a year or two to TRT would be great. I guess I'll find out sooner or later......

Need to see DHT; you may be converting at a higher than normal rate...which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

We talk around here about TRT replacement BUT what we are really talking about is DHT replacement.

Agreed or get use to shaving. Face it, part is due to age. I had Nothing on my back or stomach until I hit around 46 then I also got on TRT and yes it increased. My back is still minimal and I can wax or trim once a month but the rest when I'm in the shape I want I just set the trimmer to #1 and go at it. I dont like to shave because it itches and I get ingrown hairs. In a few days it looks the same as a close trim on #1 anyways.

Gawd I remember seeing old people with white hair coming out the ears and LONG nose hairs thinking how gross that was. I'm 50. I still only have 1 hair on one ear that grows I pull every couple of months when I can see it. Nose hairs get plucked or cut weekly.

Have you seen those Asian guys who have a mole on the face with LONG black hairs growing out of it? It looks like some kind of pet they are keeping. lol WHY dont they cut the hairs or have the mole removed??? I have a small black mole on one shoulder that gets a few hairs once in a while and I pull them when I notice them.
