How do y'all treat and/or minimize acne outbreaks from Testosterone?

my doctor prescribed Clindamycin Phosphate gel. Works good but it is a reactive approach. Do y'all have any proactive success?

Your Doc can prescribe some medications depending upon the severity...or just go do a good drug store and buy anti acne cleaners and OTC meds.

It's just one of the bad sides to TRT but something easy to live with considering the other options.

I can say I have a huge problem with it! Arms, back, not face tho.
Take at least two showers a day, and use body wash from neutrogena.

Mine starts on back of head and neck.. Then goes to shoulders than to chest... So when it appears on back of head I have to be proactive before it gets out of hand

I use alcohol and saturate any of the outbreaks. Dries the acne out quick and it leaves in a day or so. I get it bad too.

I took Accutane when I was younger so I'm hoping it will prevent most breakouts while on HRT. So far so good but I've only been on HRT for a week and a half now so things haven't even really even started yet.

Accutane works also, I hear people take it every other day and it works

I have absolutely no problems, shower twice daily, and USE YOUR AI! Eat clean and if your gear is clean you should have minimal problem, but if u think your going to cycle and eat pizza and candy bars 3x a week and not get zits...well its just not going to happen. Using your AI properly and keeping your estro lvs under control is a big part of it.

I was having the same problem about a month ago for a photo shoot.. So I went and bought some neutrogena soap and one of the good surface cleaner sponges with a rough side and used it on my back and shoulders and that did the trick.. But also, I was studying a lot, had hospital hours, gym, dating, ect so I was showering like once a week hahaha that might have been part of it.. fml

I get in on the chest and back/shoulders. I use a shower scrubber. Eat 90% strict Paleo. When my Test-cypionate does goes up even 10mg I get an intense outbreak. Last about 3 weeks then subsides. Sounds like it is just a side effect that some of us are more sensitive to than others. Fortunately the misses says it's just because I am a horny teenager again )

Oh, that's a good point, ironbeck. My estrogen level rose for the first time AND I had a more intent outbreak. Interesting. Hopefully next time will not be so bad.
