Mood before trt
Hello guys my name is Victor,
Im 24 years old and was put on TRT due to low testosterone . All avenues have been exhausted trying to find the cause of my low T. I also have a Karotype test in a week to check for genetic factors . I was put on Fortesta 2 pumps a day. I have been on it for 2 weeks and don't really notice much change.
Im very tired most of the month but a couple of days during the month i feel ok. Once i start TRT will my mood begin to become more consistent? Will my mood change inversely like having mostly good days and a few crappy during the month? I know this is just speculation but any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.Last edited by Vahevahe; 12-27-2012 at 07:02 PM.

You should begin to feel a difference or you will have to adjust your dosage. BW is the key as you know. There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum written by GD detailing exactly what to expect when starting TRT. Take a minute and read it as well as the others.

24 and on TRT...something isn't right with you.
Keep us posted on your continued testing.
You're missing a lot of labs...was there more?
I'd like to see a complete Thyroid panel and glucose as well.Last edited by steroid.com 1; 12-27-2012 at 05:48 PM.

Yeah i added 3 more pages. There is alot from the hospital about 175 pages total about 30 being labs. They did alot of tests MRI with and without injection, testicle ultrasound, chest xray, heart ultrasounds, checked for testicles varicoles, Hiv, hepatitius, parathyroid ultrasound, 3 urine tests 4 blood test(with multiple things being checked for consistency on each test). alot of stuff. My Tsh goes from 2-4 on different tests but they are in "range". glucose is 98 range 65-99. Im scaning 4 more pages to put up now. These are from the hospital.

Ok, besides your low Total Testosterone serum levels has anyone discussed that you have very elevated FSH levels?
The one lab I see your FSH is 200% over the reference range.
In men, high FSH levels are usually due to primary testicular failure. This can be due to developmental defects in testicular growth or to testicular injury...which begs to ask, have you ever had any type of injury around your groin area?
Ever had a viral infection like the mumps as a kid?
Drugs like cimetidine, clomiphene, digitalis, and levodopa can increase FSH as well.
I know you said you had your testicles tested and they seemed ok, but elevated FSH and low Testosterone serum levels points to the gonads as the culprit.

Iv had a baseball thrown at my testes in middle school. Was a kickboxer for 4 years but wore a cup during sparing (sparing was once a week with protective head, nee, elbow and groin protection.) Nothing exponentially painful just the regular nut shot pain. No mumps and i have used a acid reducer but only recently. I did have trouble with my testies not descending properly when i was younger but the Testicle Ultrasound showed no problems.
there is a neurosurgeon who said that the hypothalamus is the culprit. He made me measure my temperature and blood pressure on each side of the body every 2 hours and i briefly had a fever on both days that i measured my temperature. Due to the hypothalamus being integrated with the pituitary he thinks that the hypothalamus might be damaged due to irregular body temp lot tests ect. This is confusing because the head mri showed up negative for any problems.Last edited by Vahevahe; 12-27-2012 at 08:03 PM.

I'd look into the testicle injury issue further if it were me.
Also, the Neurosurgeon may be on to something; the Hypothalamus could very well be at the root cause here as it sits at the top of the HPT Axis!!!
MRI can miss very small tumors and this is well documented. There are other tests that can still tell if a tumor is present of if the gland is not functioning properly.
Looks like you will get there sooner or later no matter how frustrating it is right now.
Hang tough man

After about the second week of TRT I noticed my energy & mood improving. I still feel tired at times (been on Axiron for 9 weeks) but nothing compared to pre-TRT. Pre-TRT I was DEAD tired all the time, I had ZERO energy.

I seem to have inherited my dad's shitty mood-poor wife. It actually seems to be improving with the addition of, not test, but hcg . And no, it's not a placebo effect. I feel good.

you inherited your dads poor wife?
what am I missing? lol
As to the OP, I don't feel 2 weeks is adequate to judge these things by-and-large. If anything, I would be judging lab results to make sure you were getting an increase in testosterone and not simply a displacement of your natural testosterone with the synthetic T.
