ED out of nowhere for 2 weeks - seeking advice

Guys - seeking advice on something really strange.
Last 2 weeks - three times now - i've had ED, limp d*ck, noodle nuts...whatever you want to call it - when I've been doing it with wife.
    WTF?

    Here is my cycle:
I'm 46, been on TRT Cyp 200Mg weekly for 11 months now. Amidrex for estrogen balance taking 1mg weekly. HCG 200 mg weekly to keep the boys in shape.
For the last 11 months I have no issues - really - like my wife tells me I'm screwing like i was 20 yrs old again - and she loves it - as recent as October we actually knocked it out 3 times in an overnight get away (not braging - just telling you the facts for baseline).

All of the sudden, last two weeks - limp d*ck. 1st time while I was in the middle of action. last two times not even able to bone one up.
Only thing that has changed is that I was on wellbutrin XL 450 mg daily for last two years. I took 3 150 tabs daily.
Given that I'm feeling like awesome from the TRT, talked to dr. and decided to ramp down Wellbutrin XL to 300MG daily. I take the generic brand Bupropion XL. This changed happened exactly 3 weeks ago.

Could this be the reason? Any other Wellbutrin XL users out there on TRT have any experience with this happening after you decrease dose?
Just seeking advice before I call Doc on Monday - Gotta get control of this ASAP -I gave up ED 11 months ago and I never want to go back to that dark place.

Sounds strange man. Are you having any other symptoms of high or low estrogen? That could possibly be a cause. I wouldn't think lowering your wellbutrin level would affect it, probably just a coincidence.

Wellbutrin is known to have sexual side effects: it increases libido in some people. Women more often than men. Cutting back on it could have the reverse effect. Wellbutrin has a long half life due to various compounds that it degrades into which are also psyochactive. Call the doc but the answer may be to wait until you've stabilized at the new level and see how it is then.

sparverius - thanks so much - i'll call doc on Monday and see. Also need to call GP on Monday to get my latest lab results which I had run first week of December. Estrogen could be off and I know that can cause a problem too. Either way - got to get this fixed.

So I thought more about what has changed.. and i don't think it is the wellbutrin causing the problem.
Last month starting mid- November through December 15, I doubled my weekly dose of cyp. I got my hands on some extra and decided to ramp up. I normally take 1cc of 200mg weekly. For a month, I took my normal shot and added another 1/2 cc (100 mg) so I was taking in a total of 300mg per week. This I did for 1 month exactly. On December 16 I went back to normal regiman - 1 shot, 1 CC, 200 mg. Do you think this may have caused my estrogen to increase thus giving me limp d*ck? I've also been somewhat clueless this week - couldn't tell my daughter the name of a shopping center yesterday only could tell her the one by the mexican food place we eat at.... I've also been sleeping like total crap this last week.
Anyway - what I did not do after I ramped down is increase my amidrex dosage - kept that the same - 1mg weekly. I have a month supply of amidrex - perhaps i need to increase for a week to get estrogen levels back down???
    Appreciate the help.

Of course, wait for the experts to chime in, but in the meantime....bw should tell the real story. It is tricky to assume and change doses without knowing what your levels are at. Because my doc wont do certain tests, namely sensitive e2, I just get it done myself. Costs around 70 bucks at privatemeds.com, but my peace of mind is worth that. Oh, and next time you get bw, tell the lab you want a copy mailed to you. There is a form to fill and that's all there is to it. My doc takes.weeks to get back to me regarding bw and he never gave me numbers/ranges. Just says "everything looks ok". That don't cut it sometimes. Good luck.

agree - my doc does the same - "everything looks great" - so with that I said well if everything looks great on the prescribed dose then let's bump it up a bit.
I will call and get my results tomorrow morning. Thanks for the reply. Cool dog in your profile pic by the way.

Need blood work to see if it's a biological issue...elevated or suppressed E2 can be a big culprit here.

Also, just thinking about it can cause ED issues...putting to much pressure on yourself to perform can have a negative effect.

As said get your bloodwork done but I'm betting on elevated E2 due to doubling your TRT dose. You could also try ordering some adex to lower your E2

The same thing happened to me in the last few weeks. I had been enjoying the benefits of 75mg/day Androgel 1% and the alpha-blocker Terazosin when bam, I went limp. Whereas I was having almost constant wood and 20 minute refractory periods, now I couldn't get it up easily and it was pretty soft at that. Luckily, I was able to get around the "ED". But I'm seeing my doc on Wednesday and getting an e2 sensitive assay "STAT".

I would def get your blood levels checked, but dont discount the effect of discontinuing wellbutrin. You could have the healthiest test-e2 ratio and still have ed/libido problems. I have taken wellbutrin, ssri's, and snri's, and all have different effects at different times. I have even had ssri's dramatically increase my libido for the first 6 months which is nearly unheard for an ssri.

My advice..get back on or wait it out.

ok. so finally got my labs today. These were taken the day before I dropped my injections back to 200mg/week.
Test 1314 (no wonder I felt so great)
    Free Test 35.1
Estrogen isn't listed. There is a crap load of results, but I don't see estrogen.

Estradiol is what you should be looking for.

Also, did they test prolactin levels? Elevated prolactin can and will kill sex drive and/or erectile functionality in a big way...

Neither are on the test results. Typical_ I'm gong to gp for my trt and the results of my labs clearly tell me that he doesn't know what he is doing. He is only looking t see if my liver is OK and what my test levels are so he can turn into insurance.
