curious
iam curious as to why people are so critical of other people on these threads. I have been reading some of these forums and everybody is an expert and sometimes just down right nasty. Anyway i wanted to ask i use 200 mg test cyp a week iam 38 years old been on for 4 years. at this dose iam usually around 1000-1100 after getting fasting blood work done3 days after injection. I personally like the way i feel when i use about 220 a week i put a little more muscle on about 4-5 pounds which i like i weigh about 185 5' 10 12% bf. My bloodwork all comes back pretty good, bloodpressure, psa etc my blood is a little thick but i just give a little at the red cross. I like being on the higher end and was wondering if 200 works but i feel better on 220 a week, ive done this many times and my bloodwork comes back in the range of 1300-1400 would any body else do 220 for life or would they be to worried i just dont know why anyone would do 100-150 a week just to get to 700-800 range whats the point. I dont believe 200 220 a week is a cycle 400 500 a week would be a cycle and test cyp cycles are pretty easy on the body its when you start throwing orals in is when issues can arise

There are some TRT guys that require higher doses to achieve a certain level of test, that being said generally in this forum we look to find balance and be within medically accepted ranges. You choosing to go beyond that is a personal choice, I dont think any of the guys will get nasty with your personal choice.
When giving advice we would prefer that the medically accepted standards and a healthy balance is what we strive for.

Im 50 and have been on TRT since I was 46. My current TRT dose is 200mg cyp ew. My levels stay around the 1200 range and psa and other levels stay in check. I feel very good at this level and my doc agrees with the results. Of course and good diet and training goes hand in hand with the TRT. Interesting that 20mg can make that much difference in the way you feel.......
Bottom line............ Its up to you and your doctor to find that sweet spot. If you are on insurance and can only get a months supply at a time, I would suggest you ask you doc to switch you to ethanate test. It comes in 5ml vials @200mg per ml. I can get it refilled every 31 days with my insurance, that will give you an etra 200mg to spread thru the month as you see fit.

Without ever using, so in fairness I don't know, but it seems like at 1000-1100 you should feel pretty good. I don't know though, everyone's body is different. As long as all of your numbers are in check then I don't think i'd worry about it.
I'd also add that I myself was considering a TRT dose, but after giving it some thought and the guys here letting me know it can start to be a real pain in the ass (no pun intended) to have to shoot yourself twice a week for life and that it gets old after a while which I can imagine. My test is in the 630's I think right now... free test i'm trying to raise with Vitamin D3 which was suggested to me and i'm taking 5000 iu's everyday. I'm hoping to release some of my free test and that might help me with my foggy, slow thinking and mood swings.Last edited by boxingfan30; 02-03-2013 at 10:26 AM.

I think you're fine at these levels considering everything else is in check.
I live at the higher end of the reference range like you and feel great as well.
But it's not for all men; most of the well known TRT practitioners like their men in the upper three quarters (600 to 700) of the reference range where it mimics the levels normally seen in healthy men in their 20's.

Op, you've landed in a good forum here, not a nasty one. We don't tolerate it here and end it quickly when it arises. Like the guys above pretty much all said, as long as your healthy there are no issues. We all metabolize at different rates!
Stick around!
ps: very well said Goodluck!

thanks everyone for the responses yes it is a pain in the ass to be on this stuff for life, i would prefer not to be on it, i do believe iam a fast metabolizer so i dont typically run into any issues when i bump it up a bit my bloodwork comes back pretty darn good other than my blood thickening and thats not even to bad on the scale. I work out alot and diet is in check my job is very physical, so i think i go through the t. and the bump of just 20mg does do alot for me i dont know why maybe because i workout so regularly and eat right i dont know.

I am on 200mg/wk and nobody has ever said a negative word about it. The TRT section of the site is a lot more polite than some of the other sections, for sure.
Sounds like you have things dialed in and of the higher dose starts to have a negative effect you will catch it in blood work.

I'm on .75 a week, 50 years old, and my test was well over 1000 and I don't know why. I am switching to .35 twice a week and going to get blood re tested in 8 weeks. I guess everybody responds differently.
