What to get tested for!

if one was feeling fatigued all the time! brain fog, cant really think properly pretty much because of the fatigue, im pretty sure thats the reason anyway!

feel a little zoned out, not connected to reality, but mind you exercise does help. Im getting a lot of sleep per night, no insomnia etc. But from the moment i wake up, i went for a walk this morning
was feeling good, got home and felt so fatigued, almost felt like going to bed yet i got 10 hours of sleep lol

also sometimes get depressed and feel like if i live my life like this im not going to put up with it!

recently had liver, cortisol, tsh, etc done all came back perfect!

but going to get another blood test for things the doc didnt test for

such as vitamin D, testosterone even tho i doubt thats a problem. Anything else? What would u guys have tested! ?

So yeah basically fatigue, also was at a party on saturday night and by the end of the night i felt like i had a few drinks, felt a bit spacey, and started questioning if ppl had put alcohol in my water lol.

but i drove!

this all started around xmas time. NEED to rid this soon as my moods go from feeling very sad, to ok/happy like i am atm, to feeling depressed and teary!

btw pretty sure i cant think properly/brain fog beacuse im just so ****ing fatigued!
keep yawning almost ready for a nap!

ok GIMM a bit and i will do when im home! But from memory it was Tsh, cortisol, liver, serum levels, and blood count etc. Or something, was printed on script paper, ****in lazy doc so i will try and do it the best i can

b12 is another one that's commonly associated with energy, and easily remedied. although it seems to be on backorder in the USA for many pharmacies. (what a joke... old pharmacist said to me he thinks it is because big pharma makes no money off b12 injectables.)

another important thing is serum iron as well as ferritin. too high or too low can be detrimental.

most important thing is probably just changing one's diet... although this is far from easy.

i used b12 every now and then, probably not enough to notice anything, yup hard to get here in aus aswell, but i will buy some more! How much do u recomend a week. i was doing about a ml every 3 weeks, 1000mcg.

Couldnt be my diet! Ive used it before a few months ago before this and felt fine! Plus ive taken time off my diet and just tried to enjoy life, going out for dinner, eating whatever etc. So doubt its my diet!

can u get serum iron and ferritin tested for in a blood test?
could u guys mind listing down a list of things i should get tested for.

docs here arent thatr great and would only most likely do the basic things like iron and test then say its all in my head lol

Adrenal fatigue?

Make sure to get all Thyroid labs and Cortisol.

Read kel's sticky on finding a TRT Doc you'll get the labs you need.

Something is wrong and you need the right labs to make an accurate assessment.

could be adrenal fatigue? what exactly does that mean.

already had cortisol done
came back at 450.

in the AM ref range is 110-550
Pm 70-400
i had it done morning

TSH came back at 2.18 (0.1-4.0)

I would take whatever amount of b12 I needed to keep my levels near the top. You don't want b12 to get too low because if too low for too long it can lead to demyelination of your nerves.

A tsh over 2 says "to me" that your thyroid could use some improving. a tsh alone does not tell the entire story of your thyroid though. its a very incomplete picture.

"adrenal fatigue" means a lot of different things to a lot of people... its not a true diagnosis, but it's probably worth looking at the important adrenal hormones including dhea-s, which is very easy to correct. cortisol can be hard to measure and without a good clinician examining it, can be a waste of time because cortisol needs a good interpreter. its very easy for cortisol to change dramatically depending on a multitude of variables...

if you are able to and can afford it, there's a pretty exhaustive list of blood parameters to check in one or some of the stickies here.

i thought 2 for tsh is fine?
does the lower number mean better? i thought higher is worse? lol this is prerrt confusing stuff tbh.

so how much b12 would put u near top levels?

also would using some T3 help? Can order from ar-r. 50-100mcg ED.Used it before but noticed no real fat burning efffects from it tbh. Perhaps a bad batch from ar-r who knows

I would absolutely not just start taking t3 indiscriminately. Also, 100mcg every day is a hefty dose!

How much B12 someone needs is quite variable. Some need none supplemental, some need lots, etc etc. You don't know how much you need until you get bloodwork.

As far as TSH, lower is better, but 2 is not "that" low. I'm not saying you have some outright disease, but on this forum, I see most mens' problems as insidious accumulations of minor problems that evolve into more serious matters.

I also wouldn't advocate using anything other than prescribed drugs from a legitimate pharmacy for your quality of life.

ok so im sitting here in my chair and feel so fatigued, im almost SURE this brain fog/ zoomed out feeling is due to the fatigue. Deffs getting bloods done tomorrow but you guys need to tell me specifically what to test for that you think may be causing it! ive read the stickies and im sure some of that may not be relevant. i dont wanna end up with a 1000 dollar bill lol when i can cut that in half and get the MOST specific things that could be causing this done! I know theres no direct answer to this but what would u guys get done?

Now I'm gonna ask a VERY relevant question. Have you finished your ridiculous year long cycle and done a PCT or are you still on it? Assuming you are still on it as you state testosterone level shouldn't be an issue.

Why don't you do the boys a favour and tell them exactly what you have been taking and for how long?

He is another Zyzz wannabe.

He has absolutely failed to list his cycle when requested despite the number of times he has come in here with problems arising as a result. Bear has nicknamed him Jester. Not sure if he actually did it idle just considered pinning his neck!

Don't let him waste your time as he has others. I doubt he'll be honest with his cycle details even if he does post them.

i do find it very curious that you are unwilling to post ur current cycle or cycle history?? WTF??? obviously IMO low test jumps right out at the top of the list for fatigue. IMO thats like the NUMBER 1 sign of low test. it was for me. fatigue man..

To SteM's point, we need ALL the information about a member in here to provide the right counsel and advise. If the OP had been a long term cycle as noted that information would have been very critical to provide the correct response.

That should be a good reminder to any member who posts in here about their condition in that it's very important to tell us everything about yourself so you can get the best out of the experienced members here.

Leaving out something like a cycle and one of a long duration at that is rather vital.

LD. this is an anonymous forum. I'm not your neighbor. Neither your coworker or family member. No one here really knows you. So why the reluctance of providing the information being asked for?

My father in law is in the hospital right now, which could have been easily avoidable. A year ago, he had a small something amputated. And he was told to come back for additional monitoring as a follow up. He never did. Now he's got the same issue again, but someplace else.

IMHO, he didn't go back because he did not want to hear what the doc was going to tell him.

I'm not saying this is your case, but it almost sounds like you feel that if you provide the information that is being asked for, you will not like the advice you are going to hear. Is that it?

^^ all of the above. Not to pile on here, but if you're not willing to post ALL information, you're not hurting anybody but yourself. You 'doubt' that your cycle has anything to do with your problem, but you don't know. You think the information requested of you is irrelevant, but the very people whose advise you seek are telling you otherwise. You can't just take the advice you want to hear, and blow off the other stuff. It doesn't work that way. Please post what's been requested or let's just close the damn thread already.
