    Testosterone number came back

I got my results today and found my serum testosterone to be very low at 254. I am a 50 year old man who has not worked out in a few years, so I knew the number would be low, but not that low. I will be starting HRT in the upcoming week, so hopefully things will start to improve.

I have a choice of taking 50 mg twice a week, or 100 mg once. Any advice would be appreciated. This is testosterone cypionate injection.

    Thanks

I would go with 50mg twice per week because it will lead to lower peaks and higher troughs. In other words, more steady levels, less aromatizaton, less being "low T."

I would then get follow up blood work in 6 weeks and be sure to test testosterone as well as estradiol "sensitive" and adjust the T as necessary, either up or down.

Thank you for your reply and advice. I was leaning towards the twice per week dosing schedule as well. The clinic I am going through is kind of do your own program as far as the testosterone goes place. I wasn't able to get firm amounts that they want me to take. I got some really good advice from one of the forum vendor/sponsors and will be switching to them once a clinic opens up near me. Now I at least know how much is a safe amount to inject.

Another question. Will taking the testosterone twice a week require me to alter the HCG and Arazanole dosage and frequency?

Agreed, to start anyway................... as your levels go up and stable off, you can drop back to once a week if you want. Thats what I did after the first year (got tired of pinning) and I havent noticed a drop at the end of the week. Of course, Im running 200mg per week, and my levels tend to stay around the 800 to 1000 range in total test

On HCG , 3x/wk would be advisable. On the AI, 2x per week would also be good; taken the day after your test injection. Curious with your current E2 level? Many of us, including myself, have been able to eliminate (for the most part) any AI in conjunction with our standard protocol, which was achieved when administering the testosterone via subcutaneously. Be careful. Some of these clinics like to put patients on 2mg and even higher right out of the gate. Let us know what they have designed for you.

I wouldn't take any AI until you know you need it. many men don't need it at all. keep the T dose physiological and frequent, small injections and you very well may not need it. Personally, I would avoid it unless you get frank high e2 symptoms.

They are recommending .5 mg, twice per week. That is calculated at the 200mg per week testosterone . Since I plan on taking half of that, it seems logical that half the AI would be about right.
