Just need a little advise in my TRT program

I am just starting in TRT with the pellets. They were inserted two months ago and my Test level went from 240 to 960 as of yesterday.
I am Very happy with this but my Estradoal is up to 58 and was flagged on my blood test. My TRT specalist gave me HCG and said 250 iu's twice a week. No problem there but also gave me Anastrozole with vague instructions, " Take (1mg tab) one tablet by mouth one day before Test injections". I am guessing these are the generic instructions that come with the bottle but I am not taking the injections. I was going to start taking the tablets twice a week with the HCG but thought I should try to find out a little more first.

Also, I am getting very good increases in the gym with my test and would like to bump it up to a higher level with injections, both for the entertainment level in bed and more muscle mass, although at 65 I don't know how much more I can put on. Would it be benficial to increase the Test to 12 or 1400 and what would the side effects to that be?

Lookiing forward to hearing from you guys.

Pretty good levels after 2 months. How many pellets were inserted at last procedure? One month ago, you may have well been up around 1200 total test. if at 2 months you are at 960. You need to understand (if you don't already), that your levels peak by one month after insertion and decline thereafter until your next procedure. Mine are typically around 300 by 4 months and I then feel the need for new pellets.

Estradiol of 58 isn't terrible, but it may not be optimum for you either. Go easy on the anastrazole. You shouldn't need it in quite the same way that the guys who are injecting do. I can't recommend a dosage level though.

Glad you are getting some hCG . Most of us have difficulty getting a doctor to prescribe it.

Welcome Ramble. That's a great test level two months in with pellets and adding HCG is the proper thing to do. It will also increase your test level by keeping your testies somewhat functioning by mimicking LH function. It can also increase intratesticular E2. HCG has many other benefits as well as LH receptors are not only in the testies like so many think, they are throughout the body.

When it comes to your E2 I'm assuming the panel you had run was a sensitive E2 panel specific to males. If not it basically relates more to women. You do not want to take a full 1mg tablet of Anastrozole. Your E2 is not that high and it can be very easy to crash your E2 with that amount. E2 is necessary in our bodies just as test is. You may consider cutting the pills into quarters and taking .25 mg twice per week. I would not go higher than that until retesting in a month. You don't need to fast for a sensitive E2 panel.

When it comes to bumping up levels I'd say no. Not now. Getting dialed in with your protocol takes time. You're about to add two new variables to it with HCG and and AI which will in both cases increase your test level as well. Give this time to get dialed in based on blood work and learn what works for you. Everything you change has en effect. Right now your body is searching for homeostasis.

Give it time to find it and to learn where you feel the best. More is not better. Better is better! Adding more test does not necessarily equate to more sex drive. You may consider looking into low dose daily cialis as an adjunct here. It is a very healthy addition to any protocol for the obvious reason as well as it's a nitric oxide booster and is approved by the FDA for BPH. You seem to have a good doc. Stick with him and build trust.

When it comes to adding more muscle, that is pretty much in and of itself contingent on nutrition and training. All the aas in the world won't build muscle without those variables being on target. If that was the case "Arnolds" would be a dime a dozen!

Be patient Ramble. Stick around here and learn. Great people here and a lot of fun. Explore the other forums as well!

Thanks for the information guys. I don't think I had the sensitive panel as I had not heard of it before and did not request it. I will on the next bloods though in a month or so. I probably did have much higher test readings in the first few weeks, Never had more fun in bed in my whole life. I had ten pellets inserted, I encouraged the tech to give me the max that she could and she complied. She was in a rush though as it was closing on 5:00PM and she was anxious to get out and go home. She waited all of 4 minutes for the anastetic to take effect before she stabbed me wth a dull scalpel to make the initial incision. Worst shot I have ever had. I wasn't aware that the Test levels started high and declined over the life of the pellets. I just assumed that they stayed constant and just dropped off as they were completely consumed. I think I will go with the injections afer this. seems like a more level concentration can be obtained that way. Less expensive too.
I appreciate the information on the Anastrozole Kelkel, I wasnt able to find much on it with Google. I guess I will drop the idea of steroids for bulk too. Just not up to the dedication required. I will stick to my alternate days workout and protein high diet and see what I can do with what I have.
My doc is a bodybuilder too and looks great with nothing but protein shakes and diet. I am going to copy him.

I'm impressed that your doing TRT at 65. It seems the men who are over 60 who I discuss TRT with seem to always poo poo the whole thing. I wish this stuff was around for my dad, but to be honest with myself, he probably would have rejected it too.

I know exactly what you mean Ctenosaura. I have broached the subject with a couple of the guys I work with and gotten the same results.
It's very frustrating watching your buds go downhill like that.

    There oughtta be a LAW!
