Being Put on TRT upon request?
Hey there guys,
Was just wondering earlier i was on youtube and i came across a guy speaking some valid points regarding teens being put on TRT upon asking their doctors and i was wondering if you were to ask your doctor to put you on TRT and he says yes could being on TRT have any negative effects on your body? is there anything wrong with being on TRT and not needing to be?
below i linked the video.

Negative effects as a teen or in general a healthy male who doesn't need TRT?
As a teen, I would suspect there would possibly be negative long term effects on the HPTA making them hypogonadic when not on TRT.
Since on average our bodies are not fully developed until the mid-twenties there could also be some neurological effects and physiological effects either due to inactivity of the HPTA axis or directly as a result of the TRT if all the variables are not controlled/it is not an optimal treatment protocol (excess e2, DHT, testosterone , etc). These neurological effects could cause problems themselves, but that is getting into a slippery slope.
