I just had BW completed by labcorp. I got the sensitive assay for the first time instead of the regular. My result came back a <3 range is 3-70. My optimal regular estro test result is 40-50 how can I compare these numbers?

I'm curious as well. Up until now, I've never heard of this type of estrogen test. Makes me wonder because I've been struggling with controlling my E2 since I've started.
This is how my estrogen tests came back the doc did 3 different tests. The sensitive test is what everyone seems to go by. Mine was at 45 and I was starting to have some ED issues so I increased my AI .5 mg to get it down.
estrone, serum 66 12-72 pg/mL
estradiol 19.8 7.6-42.6 pg/mL
estradiol, sensitive 45 3-70 pg/mL
use the sensitive assay and ignore the others. go by those results + symptoms and make changes as needed.
What HRT said. How's your libido? Joints?
Libido is not really strong but present.Erectections are strong and do not fall off. My joints have been fine. I just dont feel dialed in.
I did BW in november and my estro was at 201.7 (regular testing). I had not been on an AI for several months, due to crashing my estro previously. I have been taking 1mg adx twice a week(2mg a week). Obviously too much. I am starting to learn that my body responds to adex very quickly and it has become hard for me to get in my optimal range. I was planning on getting off AI for 2 weeks and then going to .25 mg adex twice a week? Comments please.
I'm about in the same boat as you. I've always had estrogen issues and can't seem to get it just right. I've been high and then just recently, I've been in the dirt.Originally Posted by #1stunna
I'm going to back it up and start a different approach, the retest.
45 doesnt seem to high. I akways like running higher than lower. To low estrogen is even worse for me. You need estrogen for hard ons. I usually can tell when mine is getting high when my feet hurt from water retention and bloatedness. I never had probs with my nips tho.
When I first went on TRT I started having issues and my sensitive test came back at 39 then I was put on an AI and brought it down to low. backed off the AI a little and my T dosage has been increased and changed to an every 5 day injection so now I have to find the right dosage of AI to keep the estradiol sensitive in the 20's
Is the sensative assay number supposed to be read the same as the regular. My optimal range for the regular is 40-50, so should the sensative target be in those ranges?
Will i need to get dialed in with sensative assay numbers first to see where those numbers fall?
When I first started to take test injections it took 6 months at 250mg a week for my test to only get to 82 but now that I have taken an AI its all over the place.
I read about that on Dr Crisley site. Supposedly that problem was fixed.. Should I call Labcorp?
After reading one of your comments.... If you took 2mg of Arimidex your results could be accurate with that big of a dose.
Yes I had . In nov my bw estrogen came back at 201. I was not on an ai. I had got off of it for 6 months. I have been taking 2 mg adex a week. 1 mg 2xweek.
I'll say this; if the OP's E2 sensitive assay came back <3 he'd have symptoms so sever he'd feel like he was living in hell...no man can be that low and not have significant negative symptoms.
The first thing I thought was the lab made an error and it appears so from what was read on Crisler's forum.
Get retested.
I totally agree. I was just talking with a buddy and he were saying the same thing. Lowest ever tested was 20 and I felt horribe. I don't feel bad at all. THis test is not right. I going up to labcorp tmrw first thing
Surley labcorp won't try and fight about getting retested?
I contacted privatemdlabs and they are having labcorp rerun test. I emailed in and they responded within minutes. I contacted labcorp and they tried to tell me that <3 meant my estrogen was less than 3. No way! Real curious to see what second results come back at?
The fact that it was discussed on Crisler's forum brings some light to the suspicion.
Lets face it, labs make mistakes sometimes.
I am sensitive as well. On a regular E2 test (not sensitive), I came back at 5.5. At <3, someone will be hating life.Originally Posted by bigboy67
finally got my result back this afternoon. Only 13 days after I tested, Great job labcorp. Anyways im glad I quit taking my AI. The result was E2 sensitive 11. From now on I will be getting the regular estradiol test not the sensitive like I hear recommended.
