I know there is probably a good reason for it, just because its commonly prescribed across the board, but why is CYP prescribed for TRT over Enan?

Shorter acting ester versus longer and what B said above.
Cyp has a longer molecular structure meaning that it takes longer for the body to cleave the ester to release the Testosterone into the bloodstream.
For men on TRT this simple means less need injections to keep serum levels consistent versus a shorter molecular structure like Porp which is the fastest acting ester of them all but means more injections to keep serum levels stable.
I believe it's because cypionate is just what American doctors picked up over time. There is no significant difference between release times in human bodies - significant in the sense that one would notice.
What's far far more impactful is simply one's physiology and how fast they metabolize testosterone in general.
I believe enanthate is more popular than cypionate in Europe.
