Did I Contaminate my hCG?

So I finally mixed it myself. Doctor did it for me 3 times before. I thought it went well. But since mixing it, I have injected myself twice and each time it stung when I inserted needle and injected the fluid. Not a screaming sort of pain, but an unpleasant burning.

I inject in my belly fat using a 29 guage needle, same as always. The mix I use is the same as always, and it is true bacteriostatic water, not sterile water. It is from a kit from a pharmacy. (PPC brand Chorionic Gonadotropin that comes with the frozen hCG in one vial, and the bac water in another.)

I am afraid I have contaminated the hCG, although it is not cloudy, and it appears to be working stlll.

The only thing I may have done wrong when mixing was because I only had a 23 guage needle with a barrel of 3ml, and wanted to mix in 4 ml of water, I used the same needle to draw 2ml or water at a time, and injected it twice. In other words, I used the same needle to draw 2ml from vial A (water), then to inject into vial B (hCG), then to draw again from vial A, and inject again into vial B. Because both vials came sealed, I figured plunging a needle multiple times through rubber wouldn't contaminate anything? But maybe I should have used two needles instead of only one?

I doubt it. I get mine premixed and it stings sometimes. If it was contaminated it might manifest into an infection later but bacteria itself won't cause a feeling of "stinging".

I mix the same way-using same needle to add 1 ml of bw at a time. Im sure you swabbed the rubber stopper before withdrawing/injecting bw. Also, sometimes it stings if you don't let the alc swab on your belly dry and inject the hcg. Or....sometimes, it just stings.

Ok thanks guys. Yes, I did wipe the rubber stopper with alcohol on both vials after peeling the plastic seal. I will see if it burns a third time tomorrow. I am probably just being paranoid/hyper-sensitive.
