    Can Pregnenolone Cause Chest Pains

Hi everybody. As if the list of things to worry about never ends, I took 12.5 milligrams of pregnenolone today. Starting tonight at about 5PM I experience chest pains and tightness. I can't think of anything else that could be causing it. Is this something to worry about?

No. I don't see that. What else are you taking? 12.5mg is a super duper low dose.

I am taking a Multivitamin, Synthroid, Androgel, Ashwagandha Root, and Licorice Root Extract.

    Any issues with this?

i don't see any relation here. Are you sure you're not confusing chest pain with something else? Heart burn?

Does your chest hurt more when you take a deep breath? Do you feel unable to take a deep breath at times?

I don't think I have it confused. I could but I doubt it. I don't feel a burning sensation. I think I have had heart burn before. I think it does hurt more only because I feel tightness. I don't have an issue actually taking a deep breath for the most part. Maybe a little resistance. It has passed for the most part. But I still feel a tightness right at the bottom-center of my sternum.

It does become more noticeable when I take deep breaths. Again though, not much trouble taking them.

Earlier during the night. It wasn't so localized. Felt it in my right chest cavity.

I didn't see any issues either. But I only noticed issues after starting Pregnenolone.

Maybe check for pleurisy. I think it's a mere coincidence that this happened once you started taking pregnenolone. I don't see the relation.

I would generally agree with this... but I'm always cautious because supplements are not tightly controlled and most supplement companies do not even have a quality control department.

    What brand did you take?

You might be on to something sir. A lot of the symptoms fit me. and the pain. These chest pains have been going for a while now. They were just worsened with the Pregnenolone, and maybe changed a bit. That is what worried me. I guess it is just another thing to bring up to the John Hopkin's Doc.

I take Douglas Laboratories. Seem to be a good brand?
