HRT eligiblity?
At what age do people become eligible for HRT? I went to the HRT doctor with my levels in the 250 range, but he wouldn't give me it because I was only 19 at the time and he said I was too young for it. I haven't been back to that doctor since so I ask at what age would a doctor give me HRT at? Im 24 now.
I have anxiety, depression, etc. Diet is solid, but not great. I workout regularly.

That's the doctors personal call. There is no age requirement.
Nonetheless, a level of 250 for a 19 year old certainly calls for more than just TRT. I would even say it would be a bad idea to put a 19 year old on TRT as a first treatment.
Now that you're 4, however, that number is not current. Things change and I wouldn't waste too much time thinking about 5 year old total T results.

Well I was on an anti depressant at the time, so that is known to lower T. I get my levels tested every so ofter (2 a year) and the latest one was my T being at 400. But for my age I should be higher No?(Cus T levels deteriorate when you turn 30)

You need to have higher levels of Testosterone at this age as your body is still maturing and needs these sex hormones to complete the process.
If you can pinpoint it to the meds you are taking and can verify that I would have a serious discussion with your Doctor about alternative medicines as the AD you are taking is actually hurting you from a physiological perspective.

Being depressed can have a negative impact on just about everything in the body. Being on meds could certainly make the effect on testosterone worse.
A level of 400 is workable though without drugs. I certainly would try other routes at age 24 before going on TRT.

Can you go further into this, say if you had low test levels, that would mean it would take longer to complete puberty?, not trying to hijack your thread. I've heard of guys in there mid 20's diagnosed with hypogonadism starting hormone therapy and going through a second puberty if you will, always thought this was interesting.
