    TRT Dosage

I have been dosing 100mg of Test Cyp every week for 3 months. Still feeling tired and lethargic. My Dr wants to increase it to 200mg every week.

Has anyone done this type of increase and seen positive results?

    Thanks!!

Why does you doc think increasing the dose will give you better results? Do you have baseline and recent bloodwork showing relvant tests?

Jumping from 100 mg/week to 200 mg/week is a huge jump. To justify this kind of jump your bloodwork would have to show you are still at the bottom half of the range. Get your bloodwork and post it here. Lethargy can be from a number of things, not just low T.

Symptoms are important, but TRT is about numbers AND symptoms.

I would aim for a total T of around 650. And if I wasnt already taking 2 shots per week, I would do that BEFORE I upped the dose.

I had B/W drawn last week. They haven't posted the results on-line yet. They did tell me Total T was 435.

    What is your E2?

Tired and lethargic could be thyroid... will you have any thyroid blood work results when tests are posted?

You can't just throw more on if you're symptoms are what they are...could be a host of other issues.

What is your entire protocol? AI for E2 management? HCG ?

    What were you diagnosed with?

    Are you stressed? Lifestyle?

Do you train and if so how much?

    Diet?

    So so many more questions.

Everything said above. When you get your BW post it with ranges with a complete description of your protocol so we can dig into it..

If I was doing 100mg once a week and my trough came back at 435 I would absolutely opt to inject 50mg twice a week rather than 200mg once a week.

If you do increase your dosage, I don't think I'd want to increase more than 20mg every 6 weeks with new BW saying it was needed.

But yes you might very well get positive results from doubling to 200...just think it's better to go slow.

Listen to what those three guys above advise you about estrogen and HCG ...

I started at 100mg and didn't feel much either. I go to a clinic. They've been slowly increasing dose for about 8 months. Three weeks ago my dose increased to 150 and I feel real effects for the first time and have consistently for 3 weeks. I think we are finally dialing in to where my sweet spot will be. I am trying to get them to get me to 200 per week.

From that perspective I would say you are lucky to have a doctor that will bump you to 200. But you will need an estrogen inhibitor and HCG. If your doctor understands this you are probably in good hands. If not, though, I would be careful doubling your dose. Again, listen to those guys above...

I would do what HRT suggested and wait for blood work to validate any increase in dosage.

Anything less is doing it blindly and that's just not smart medicine.

Havn't had my E2 checked in a while. The last time I had it checked was last summer and it was 30. Thanks!!

    Had non-fasting B/W done:

    TSH 2.090 uIU/mL 0.450 - 4,500

    Thyroxine (T4) 5.8 ug/dL 4.5 - 12.0

    T3 Uptake 37% 24 - 39

    Free Thyroxine Index 2.1 1.2 - 4.9

    Triiodothronine (T3) 93ng/dL 71 - 180

Doctors simply don't have the time or inclination to discover the real reasons why someone feels a certain why. Fatigue can be caused by stress, lack of proper restfully sleep and countless other reasons. My Doc always throws meds at me for everything. I see the pharma reps in his office, flogging their wears. It's the system we have, and it's broke. That said a 200mg dose should give you some results

You hit the nail on the head!! I've been on 200mg/ml a week for 3 weeks (divided into 2 shots per week) and I'm still tired, lethargic, no sex drive, no morning woods, but my gains in the gym are looking better and my max weight/reps have all increased. I'm also on hcg , arastrozole and clomid.
