Switched to a 31g needle for testosterone inject...
And it was remarkably nice! Prior to this I was using a 29g half inch and that was fine... but after one shot with a 31g needle, it felt like nothing going in! Also, my one concern was that it might be slow to move through the small needle, but it was not significantly different really.
This was all subQ as well.
(And when I look at those 25 gauge needles that I used to stick in my leg... it's almost frightening now how big and fat they are, lol. These smaller needles have been nothing but improvement over those old lances.)
Just wanted to share this positive experience.

I use 29g 1/2" insulin syringes - subQ 3 inches from my bellybutton and I don't feel it at all.

@hrtstudent- Aren't these smaller gauge needles just great? For my first 4 years on TRT I used a combo of 23-25g (1-1 1/2") needles doing bi-weekly injections. Just knowing its so much less trauma is awesome. And of course the comfort.
It's so much better (and easier) now I've switched to EOD injections to manage aromatization better. I've stopped taking my AI and feel great (only BW will confirm this). I gave away all my IM needles to a fellow buddy who just started TRT.

I hear you on that!
Your story is a good one, and I believe there are many people realizing this as well. With Doctors like Shippin and Dr. Crisler openly touting subQ, it's really been catching on over the last couple years.
My question is... why give those darts to a friend? LOL, just kidding...

I remember a couple years ago some guy posted that he had sever pip on his first injection, he than revealed he had sunk a 1.5" 18G pin in to his glute. YIKES!

I seldom do SQ anymore but I did usually use a 31ga pin and still do for HCG . Piece of cake. Anymore I pretty much use a 27ga 1/2" everywhere, mostly IM though.

The higher the gauge the easier. Love 31g

LOL it's funny how we keep changing things up. I remember when no one used smaller than 25g and anyone who did was considered a pvssy. I started using 27g a couple of years ago and just kept my mouth shut... I recently got som 29g and 31g to give them a try but have not broke them out yet. thanks for reminding me.
I swear the first time I was almost talked into doing a cycle some 25 years ago the main reason I didnt was because (as TR stated) it looked like a turkey baster and it had a 16g needle. Straight from the vet supply. Damn I feel sorry for the cows even. I'm also glad I didnt because I had no idea what way in it. Could have been Test? Could have been Tren ? No clue. Back then steroid was a steroid...
