Anti-aging Clinic fees in Los Angeles?

My clinic charges $300 per visit. And it is not covered on my insurance. Is this typical in Los Angeles/South Bay? Been on TRT/Anastrozole for years now and HCG off and on over the last couple years. I get the HCG from overseas so it's not as expensive as it would be directly from my clinic (my clinic gives me prescriptions that I can do with as I please - and follows my blood work religiously). But I would love to get out of the high cost of doctors office visits. If anyone has any recommendations to less expensive therapy in the area that would be great. Feel free to pm me if you don't want to post here. Also I get my test cyp from local pharmacy at about $100 per vial. Is there any alternative place to get that cheaper? Or is that pretty much the going rate?

(IF this violates any forum rules. My sincere apologies. Just looking for some help locating a new clinic.)

My clinic was $200 for the consiltation and $100 for every visit after (once every 6 months). As for test, the cheapest I found was Costco at $65 (non member price).

Is your clinic in the LA? Would you mind pm'ing me the name? That's a much better deal than what I am getting.

Are you looking for a Doc to prescribe just the Test since you get the hCG overseas? Do you have a general practitioner that you already see? He can prescribe the Test for you and monitor your BW if you're tired of all the expenses that can come with the anti-aging clinics here in SoCal. I'm in Studio City/Burbank area and I get my Test Cyp Rx from my Doc and then I just have my co-pay of $20 and get my Test at Costco for a $4 co-pay. I can't afford say, Dr. Mark Gordon, and I'm doing my TRT through my GP. What is your current TRT? I forgot, I think Lowtestosterone.com is up and running in LA.

My GP would only give me a very small amount. So I switched to the aging clinic and got what I needed. I get both my trt and hcg prescriptions from my anti-aging clinic/doctor. The clinic sells both but it's very very expensive. Which is why I ask for written scripts and just shop around for best price. But that deal above of $100 visits sounds alot better to me. Even the $65 for test at costco sounds great.

That Lowtestosterone.com doesn't look that cost effective. They want $200 per month to treat you. That's even more than what I'm paying now.

Give LowTestosterone.com a call. I believe there is a doc opening close to you in a few days and if not, you can take advantage of the FREE AIRFARE travel program and visit a clinic closer to you.

The blood testing provided alone is over $3,000 worth. All visits, Medication, blood testing, 24/7 medical support, shipping included in the program and offer FREE ROUND-TRIP AIRFARE CREDIT (if there is not a location within 250 miles)

You can't receive PM's. But no, he is located in the Antelope Valley which is about 1 hour north of LA.

That's $65 a month for a month of test?? What concentration? 200mg/ml?? What dosage?
    it's all relevant.

My clinic charges $310 for a full 10 weeks of 200 mg of 200mg/ml test cyp, 1 mg anastazole eod and 250 iu Hcg . So it's $300 but you get all three for 2 1/2 months. That's only $124 a month for em.

I believe that's what I paid. Bloodwork was covered by insurance. Us they offer other good shops like sermorelin w ghrp2, b12, tadiafil, vit d, etc.

Best thing is, it's all over the phone. No visits required. I get my blood drawn and we talk on the phone and they ship my the supplies w scripts in my name.

Only downfall is they don't take insurance but that doesn't matter since my insurance doesn't cover testosterone .

Whatson test cypionate 200ml/10ml vial at Costco is $65 and will last a good 20 weeks on a TRT dose of 100mg per week.

HCG cost me $100 shipped for 5 vials, each vial is 5,000iu and last a good 6-8 weeks per vial.

Armidex was $30 for 30 1mg tabs if I remember correctly and that would last 2 months taking on average of .5mg per week. You can get 60 tabs for like $10 more.

Cialis can be found online for about $1 a day, probably being the most expensive of all supplements.

Getting a prescription for a controlled substance without seeing a doctor is highly illegal. It is required by law for him to "put his hands" on the patient and have a face to face consultation. YOU wont have anything to worry about, but your doctor could go to jail at anytime for practicing medicine like that. Taking 1mg of anastrozole eod is NOT a good schedule and should be looked into. How much HCG are you taking and at what frequency? How often are you pinning the testosterone and at what dose? Just curious.

BTW, if your insurance doesnt cover Testosterone, I am guessing they do not cover HCG either. What do you pay for both medications?

My insurance would not cover my Test or Arimidex either until I had my Doc do a pre-authorization and show them my BW. Could you try this with yours?

I just got off the phone with Lowtestosterone.com and they sound like they know what they're doing. Any feedback whether good or bad would be appreciated. I've been seeing my urologist for about a year and I've been on Testo 200mg every 10 days. Urologist has NEVER done any BW other than Testo and PSA. I feel like crap and feel worst then when I was first diagnosed with Low T. My last TT was 900+ but still feel like CRAP. When I asked my urologist about E2 levels and estrogen blockers he stated that it wasn't needed. No ENERGY, NO SEXUAL DRIVE, affecting my relationship with my GF, sleep 8 hours and feel like I haven't slept. Im sure my E2 levels must be high. Any other specialists in the Los Angeles area that are cheaper or better?

I haven't used them, but from what I have learned about them they are by far one of the best clinic you can find. I been to few clinics and they don't even come close to LowT.com.

Still go and no complaints other than the fact they only open Mon, Tues & Wed with short hours, making it hard when your appointment does come up depending on how lenient your work is about taking time off.

Other than the above, all is good here :-)

I meant a beginner as far as going to the doctor. I'm a former marine and have been working out all my life. I'm no stranger to fitness. Just had to clarify that

I just went in with blood work and the numbers speak for themselves. I am 33 and 160lbs, but at the time he told me I should loose a little weight lol.

He is very open and not close minded. Just make sure you tell him you want to self inject or he will give you script for jel. On your follow up visit, he will write script for arimidex to control your e2 if needed.

If you want to run HCG , he will write a script but it's expensive to fill so I ended up purchasing overseas. He will even write script for cialis if you can afford.

Just do your research here on the forums and go in educated and he will take care of you. Preferably, go in with a full set of blood labs (recent), so that you will save yourself an office visit ($100).

They just write a script and can be filled anywhere you like. Back in the day when searching around, it was near impossible to find locally and I got a 10,000iu vial shipped from a compounding pharmacy out of Vegas for $100 which is way over priced in my opinion.

You can try GoodRX.com for coupon codes at your local pharmacies.

I haven't asked so I'm not sure. I do have my 1 yr follow-up this upcoming Monday and plan to ask if he recommends anything else on TRT or for anti aging in general.

Now I'm paying $600 per visit. But I can my own scripts from the doc. So I can shop around for test. But insurance does not cover either. I can afford the $100 test. Just not the $600 visit once or twice a year. Anyone know of any cheaper places in the southbay or south los angeles area?

Yeah, I have a place in the San Fernando Valley that I've been with for 6 mos. I'm paying about 200 per month for T, Arimidex and some blood testing. How do the rules work on this forum regarding this info - help moderator, don't want to break any rules - thanks!

My clinic gives me prescriptions to go buy my own tcyp and arimidex . But they charge me a once or twice a year appt fee of $600 each time. So I'd love to find a clinic or doc that charged say $100 each time or even $200-$300.

I've tried posting this 10 different ways. And it won't let me. I have no connection to this place. And it's not spam. There's an article in the NY Times about them this month. Blink Health will get your pharmacy bill down by about two thirds. Go to their homepage and check out the NY Times article. No bullshit. I was spending over six hundred a month. I now pay about $100.

Gentlemen just thought I'd chime in...I don't understand the $600/visit.

I am new to TRT (been on 6 or 7 weeks so far), and I saw a Urologist (the best type of doc to see for TRT) for a $60 copay. Test costs between 60-110 for a 10ml vial at 200mg/ml via Goodrx. If you're paying $600/visit then you need to be more resourceful. Shop around for different insurance plans if you can. Visit the ACA exchange if you need to. You should be able to see a specialist (Urologist) for a decent copay. There is no reason anyone should be paying 600/visit or even 200/month for an antiaging clinic. If you really need TRT then see a Urologist.

I asked my Urologist how much an appointment with her would be if I, say, lost my job and in my insurance. She said she didn't know right off hand, but that if that happened, I could email her prior to an appointment and she'd "code it down" to make it cheaper. I think she meant charging it as a 10minute appointment vrs. a 30min appointment.

Alot depends on where you live though too. Like the earlier poster mentions up in Antelope Valley (An hour north of LA and a couple hours from me at least) it's only $100 a visit. My test is around $100. Now cheaper with Goodrx. My visits are only once or twice a year. But like I said $600 per visit.

Still hoping to find someplace nearer LAX to go to.

Agreed, but it really depends upon your health plan / provider and what they accept as being "out of range" regarding T levels. If for example, they don't feel total T at 300 is below the acceptable range for your age group, you are out of luck and have to seek a TRT clinic. Just my .02.

I've been on at least three different medical plans since doing trt and none have covered anything except the blood tests and the arimidex .

My coverage is VERY conservative with T, but I am VERY happy with them for everything else - thus the outside clinic - fortunate I can have both.
