    Good Blast

Hello to all, love this forum! I have been on TRT for over a year and would like to run a blast this summer. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to blast with? I am very prone to getting high E2 so was curious if just bumping up my T-Cyp would be good or would someone suggest something else to go alone with my current T protocol that would produce low sides? I'm 43 6'0" and weigh 215

    Thanks for any input.

Probably better suited for the Q & A forums, but what is your BF% and what's your goal here?

Also what is your TRT protocol and what are you using to control E2?

Yes, I'd like to see the answers to Austin's questions as well. If you have E2 issues just from a basic TRT protocol, then doing more isn't going to be a good idea IMO.

...not a good idea at all less he knows how to manage E2 correctly.

Some abuse it; many actually need it.

My suggestion is even if you THINK you know how to control E2 the only way to know for sure is to get blood work done during your blast/cycle also. I was sure I could control my E2 by using liquidStane. After 2 attempts of using liquidstane 12.5mg EOD my levels were above 300. Last try using liquidstane every day my levels were above 400. I am trying adex next and if that doesn't work I guess I may try Letro.

Bottom line, get blood work a couple weeks after starting your blast so you know what is going on for sure.

Most? I dont think so. I will bet 99% of people who have been on TRT for a while would trade it all in for normal Test levels.

There are those who start out so they can get RX and those from abusing/using aas when younger or just had bad luck but most all of them eventually end up in the 99% wanting to have normal levels.

Anyone here disagree? Speak up if you would rather be on TRT/HRT than having normal levels.

While I have experienced marginal strength gains and improved body composition, I'd hardly classify 150mg weekly as "steroid " use/abuse.

Op, I'd like to shift gears a bit and get your thoughts and impression based on this subject. For starters, what do you see as a decent, normal sustainable protocol? In your mind, what do you consider taking for a blast, and how long would think it should be taken?

If it went perfect. Where are you at now, where would it put you once complete? I'm sure you've been putting thought into this, so this is a way to compare notes on ideas that you already might have some good ideas going into it.

What my dear friend lovbyts said: "Most? I don't think so. I will bet 99% of people who have been on TRT for a while would trade it all in for normal Test levels".

No truer words have been said.

In my case, I was diagnosed Idiopathic Secondary Hypogonadal...in other words, age related androgen deficiency.

I have also been a huge advocate of anti aging medicine and the supplements that can stave off age related pathologies and why I have been a member of Life Extension Foundation for many years now.

My TRT has not only corrected my condition it also put me on the cutting edge of anti aging medicine. I don't want to age like my farther or grand father.

It's why some of you see me low dose supplement with the likes of:

    1. Tadalafil
    2. Cabergoline
    3. Dostinex
    4. Pregnenolone/DHEA

I personally have no desire to conduct a blast, like noted here, my 160 mg of test per week is enough to put me at the top of the reference range while keep all other panels in an optimal range. I don't look like a man turing 53 this summer that I can tell you for fact...but a lot goes into that well beyond just TRT like 6 hours a week in the gym training and very good diet.

Can a man conduct a blast while on a TRT procotol? Yes, without question.

But there are many considerations and probably the biggest is that the astute Physician may detect that his patient abused his drugs and may find that he could be dismissed leaving the patient out on the street.

Also noted, one needs to understand how to read blood work correctly and how to manage the process correctly so that they receive the benefits of the cycle.

It's an interesting debate when a man who legitimately needs a HRT protocol but than decides to do a blast. So it begs the question; if the man didn't need a HRT protocol would they still have conducted a blast in absence of their hypogonadal need?

100% agree with everything GD said. I tried a blast last summer and what I ended up with is super high DHT, which brought along with it some serious acne, hair growth where I don't want it and some loss of hair where I need it !! lol

I also thought I would look more jacked and ripped, but too much T actually made me look puffy with some sore ass nipples (I also have some E issues, and was using an AI as well). It didn't help me perform better in my sport of choice either, like I thought it would

In my opinion, TRT gets your levels more or less in line with where they were when you were a young man. Therefore, you've got all you need. Not necessary to blast and suffer side effects? Focus on the basics:

    1. Work hard (and smart)
    2. Eat clean
    3. Sleep
