So Im low on vitamin D and I am dehydrated. What do you guys think of my test levels? What I do not understand is that on 03/25/2013 I had blood drawn for my endo (see previous post) and my total testosterone was at 320 now its at 470???

Anyway I have three upcoming doctors appointments. Tomorrow I am meeting with my primary care physician (whom I trust). Im going to give him the last two lab results and see what he says and ask why I keep fluctuating all over. Im also going to ask him what he thinks of the HRT clinics. On monday morning I have another appointment with my endo to see what she thinks. Also on monday evening I have an appointment with a doctor from The HRT clinic.

    Thanks!!

your test is low normal...your d is in the tanks, your e is at the top of the range, your lh and fsh suck....it's not in your head.

what times were the two drawings taken? Test is higher in the morning.
there's been controversy over whether 470 is a low t level...and i personally believe it is...and that symptoms from low t can occur.

Testosterone levels vary widely throughout the day. There are also other events that can effect this... working out recently, stress, diet, etc etc.

Also, your D is low and your thyroid is suspect to be sub-optimal. I wouldn't be interested in going on TRT if I had those numbers. If anything, I would tackle it with nutrition and lifestyle first. But by the same token, I would not be opposed to a low dose trial of clomid. Check out Drdach.com for a couple really good articles on clomid stimulation.

My blood was drawn in the morning at 8:15 and 8:30 on two different days. Im gonna start supplementing Vit-D tonight. Im not sure if my PCP will think theres an issue with my Total Test. Im also wondering if boosting my vit-D will help out with my T levels.

I expected my thyroid to be messed up; as I stopped taking my Armour thyroid two weeks prior to these last two blood tests. My thyroid panel should be back to normal now that I have been back on the thyroid meds (I feel better thats for sure). I've already gone down the clomid route. I was taking 25mg of clomid eod and it was working as it raised my test level to 650. The clomid had become ineffective and is the reason why I am seeing an endo and going to the HRT clinic. Im thinking the vitamin D is an issue. I say this because in the summer Im a beach bum and soak up a lot of unprotected sun and I always feel good. Im gonna start taking some Vitamin D supplements.

Vitamin D can definitely help improve T numbers.

Will it be enough? Who knows... Getting some daily sunlight is definitely a good idea though. We were born to be in the sun, not cubicles!

I bought and started taking vitamin D3 1000IU caps yesterday.

Do you guys think a doctor would put me on Testosterone with my current testosterone levels ?

I would take 5000ius or more of Vitamin D3 with fatty food everyday.

My vitamin D level was 24 and taking 5000ius rose my level to 36.
Taking 6000-8000ius has taken my level to 46.

    some drs will....some won't. lowt.com treats under 600.
vitamin d works wonders though. i bet you could get your t to 550 by raising your d to 50....and maybe even 575 by getting your d to 80.

I am sure you could find a doctor who would... but the better question is why do YOU want it?

Low testosterone is almost certainly not the major contributer to your symptoms, unless of course, your only symptom is wanting more muscle.

Also, 1,000 IU of D3 is a lot less than many men on this forum needed to get to mid-range or better on the 25OH-d test, just a heads up.

Im gonna start out at about 4000IU per day to see how I feel and adjust it from there. Does anyone know if you can O.D. on Vitamin D?
