Is my Prolactin high? Blood work inside

So I had some bloodwork in Feb. which showed my T in the 300's. (Routine Bloowork done by my primary care doctor) I'm not sure if they got my bloodwork mixed up with someone else or what because I have never tested that low. I did stop taking propecia (took it for 11 months) in January. I know this can mess up hormones a little. I stopped because I was taking to long to reach orgasm and penile sensitivity went down some. I did take some Anavar in the summer but don't think it had anything to do with my results. I took 4 weeks of Nolvadex after the Anavar. When I got my low T results I took 20mg of Nolvadex for 4 weeks because my FSH and LH were low.

Anyway I rested about 3 weeks after the nolva to see how things were doing and the results are below.

    Bloodwork ordered by my Endo:

    FSH: 2.1 1.5-12.4
    LH: 5.9 1.7-8.6
    Prolactin: 10.4 4-15.2
    TSH: 3.0 .450-4.5
    T3 Free: 3.1 2.0-4.4
    T4 Free: 1.31 .82-1.77
    Testosterone : 628 348-1197

Everything looks pretty close to last bw except T level is higher now. I was reading that high prolactin can cause low T levels. I hope my T stays high and does not go back down. The prolactin is at the upper end not sure if that is high enough to take Caber or something to try and lower it. I have to wait 2 months before I see my Endo

Prolactins a bit high but not ridiculous. Yes, high prolactin can have an effect on T levels. Just google it or look at wiki and you can read about it. How's your libido doing?

Yes that is how I found out from rsearching on the net. It is not out of range however I was wondering if Caber could help me lower it and perhaps it would help my T level. I tested for Free test as well waiting on that results. I also read Caber could help shrink Pituitary tumor if I have one that is too small to show up on MRI. I dont' think it could hurt since my last bw test was below range and fsh was below range as well.

My libido is not as good as it once was...and erections are not hard as they used to be.

Caber (Dostinex) will absolutely lower it. It should be used at a low dose though. IMHO no more than .25mg x 2 per week will reduce your prolactin greatly and you should see improvements in libido and refractory period. How much it helps with your T remains to be seen with BW. Even then I don't think you'll really notice as T levels tend to fluctuate anyway.

Caber is effective for adenomas and will control prolactin secretion (if a prolactinoma) and potentially shrink the tumor. A properly conducted MRI should reveal if you have a tumor or not but based on your LH & FSH I'd say you probably don't. I happen to have a pituitary tumor myself so I have a bit of knowledge in this area.

Regarding your anavar usage. Everyone gravitates to it as it's probably the safest oral there is. Due to that people think it won't shut them down. It can. Anavar is suppressive of your HPTA. To what level, only BW can tell. Propecia is a nightmare. Just google its side effects.

Curious if you had more thyroid levels run as well as cortisol and E2?

THanks Kel. Well my LH and FSH was low in my prior bloodwork. They are fine in this bloodwork but this is only 3 weeks after I stopped the nolva so maybe they are elevated from that? I am going to get more bloodwork in July to check them again. Perhaps an MRI just to be safe. I did run Thyroid levels in last bw they were pretty close to this one ill post them below. E2 run's a consistant 25

Prior Bloodwork taken Feb 27 Same Labcorp ranges:

    TSH was 2.4
    Free T4 1.16
    Free T3 2.8
    E2 25.2
    LH 2.3 1.7-8.6
    FSH 1.3 1.5-12.4 (LOW)
    Test 314 (LOW)

You need to see where your baseline is. Do you take Vitamin D, pregnenolone or dhea?

my free t is fine it is at the top of the range actually slightly over. I do take 5,000iu d3 daily sometimes 10k. I not sure if I should lower my prolactin levels or not via dosinex.
